duffner shuda cashed the cheque and sent a letter back sayin thanks for the 750 and the game, heres a little cut of my winnings for helpin me warm up! or something to that effect and sent him a chek for like 5k or somethin lol.... that wuda been real classy, let the man pay his bet (man code) and send him somethin nice anyway i wouldnt bet with this pro anymore i think this has soiled his rep a little like he was let off the hook - makes him look weak IMO

i like the watsons woods name that could stick among fans and thats all it takes for that to become its name! one of the more unique shots ive seen at the masters thats for sure... http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://coacheshotseat.com/coacheshotseatblog/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/BenHoganMerion1.jpg&imgrefurl;=http://coacheshotseat.com/coacheshotseatblog/archives/18569/benhoganmerion1&h;=768&w;=1024&sz;=429&tbnid;=KvTmXhmXLEz4cM:&tbnh;=122&tbnw;=162&prev;=/search%3Fq%3Dhogan%2Bmerion%2Bphoto%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom;=1&q;=hogan+merion+photo&usg;=__p1Q5hMm48m2dTEp3-dUi2VZlYxg=&docid;=GuN7v97rcALOtM&sa;=X&ei;=bZzkUd3VJKK5igL8jYHgBw&ved;=0CFYQ9QEwDQ&dur;=262 they say the best thing to do in a lightning storm is to hold the 1-iron straight up in the air!!! Not even god can hit that...

ya but its in the friggin forest its a bit different and how doesnt it deserve one - 163 yards , 45 yard hook and it had to go high like who can do that when it means that much in a playoff lol - plaque for participating lol thats funny but seriously, could you make the shot? wasnt it one of the more memorable ones?? IMO i would have one there, its not like its in plain view anyway i just think itd be sweet to have one out in the forest like that....oh well who am i
-
They really should put a plaque in the forest for Bubba on the 10th at agusta for obvious reasons....have they done it already and i just dont know?? me and a friend were talking about it yesterday and just think there really should be one! It was truly a great shot
-
i hit my drive so far at speed of light that its now yesterday and i havent hit it yet....hard to record it when that shit happens

im going to get fitted for the i20 by ping - currently playing i15 with stock shaft question i have an 8 degree i15 with the stock shaft and i still hit it very high but quite well, i feel as tho im losing distance and roll tho especially in summer conditions - my question is if i toy with lower launching shafts with higher degree face angles, can i still get good results or will my ball launch super high still? i will obviously check at my fitting but id like to have a little background knowledge before i go in there like what can i expect from certain combos you know? thanks i know the question is a bit vague...

longest driver out there
billatthebar replied to GOLFSALOT00's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
bump??? just seen this thread how are we stacking up now in 2013?? im thinking of getting an i20 custom fitted of course, but what do we think is the longest driver now?? -
first eagle i hit and rolled a green on a par 4 from just shy of 150 lol that was a pretty sweet first one, and ill never forget it!! i remember sayin to buddy when it landed at the front and kicked left and forward 'thats f**king in!!' and sure enough it rolled to the flag and vanished haha it was a great feeling total luck but wat the hey it was a big 2 on a par 4!

How high do you tee up your drive?
billatthebar replied to MrMulligan's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
i tee mine half the ball above the crown probably - i was having trouble hittin my driver until i decided i was buying taller tees so i could do this and i really am hitting much better (noticed it instantly) but i do launch the ball sooooo high (i play an 8 degree driver) like stupidly high - i will get fitted for a better shaft etc and see if i can get a more penetrating flight as i feel im being robbed of distance (i hit a drive 240 - 250 but it does not roll and it absolutely soars in the air) while were on topic i have another driver set up question - at address do you ground the driver or hover where? and how close to the ball do you place your club face?? thanks :) -
if a person is capable of being either of these things, then i wouldnt want to play with them at all - i dont want to play with the shredded wheat - the game is hard enough without having to constantly watch my playing partner to make sure they arent doing anything stupid - what other rules would they break if they can do these things?? foot wedge when i cant see them?? finding the ball they assumed was OB suddenly in play? testing the sand? any small rules ANYTHING....this is not the kind of person i want to play with and for that reason i say they are both as bad and unreliable as each other and i wouldnt want to play with either of them
-
well where do we draw the line?? if u notice even the slightest wobble then the chances of the ball being TO THE ATOM , EXACTLY where it was previously then it has moved! so if we can use slow motion cameras for this should we be able to use electron microscopy to be absolutely sure??? lol i know this is ludicrous and that is exactly my point....if you see it move then it moved

golf is a sport based on honesty - some people are just cheats - cheats should not be playing our game - both sandbaggers and vanity cappers are cheating - shame on both , those attitudes have no place in our sport as it goes against everything it stands for...

i tried a doc before but they basically told me there was nothing they cud do, just take anti inflamitories etc...2 years old probably i have good days and bad days and some terrible days one day i couldnt even hold my guitar and was in agony! i will go back to the doc and see what else i can get done i guess, i dont like worrying if ill be able to finish a round of golf or not lol

yeah i heard for tendinitis heat pads work well, I'm guna pick up some muscles creams aswell as ive heard they can work wonders! i just wish there was something more permanent other than surgery which doesnt even work half the time anyway

i once showed up on my own and didnt realise till i lost a ball in the water on the 3rd that i had no other balls in my bag! i was reduced to diggin in the lake for a few (course was dead tho) and i made a pretty healthy return!
-
i buy a big bag off the golf ball guy on the road, sweet deal he gets me like 50 tp blacks/reds with some penta's in there for 20$ im cool with that. also buy gd condition proV's off him i carry maybe 25 taylormades in the bag and maybe 10 proV's - if noones on the course and im out on my own ill sometimes drop 10 by the 150 and hit em all only if noone else is around tho

ive heard icing it makes things way more painful - and ive just noticed i posted this is the wrong place lol sorry about that :/
-
anyone else have to deal with this annoyance on a regular basis?? how do you overcome it?? i normally take a few ibuprofen and have a stretch but it still can become a nightmare on the course - work has ruined my wrist its in constant pain and sunday at the course it really affected my play - i could not even practice swing without almost yelling the pain was so severe - i almost killed someone on the green of a previous hole and dropped my driver after i hit it more than once....its so frustrating if anyone has any advice id love to hear it!!

Slicing with an Inside Out Path
billatthebar replied to LI Hacker's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
my guess is ur just getting your body too ahead of the ball causing you to lead in with a very open club - test it by lining up your driver a few inches behind the teed ball and see if you still push it right - id say those extra miliseconds will giv you the time to roll your wrists and square the face, maybe even leading to a draw!! THIS IS NOT A FIX!! just a way to maybe identify a problem without actually seeing your swing, then you can work on correcting the fault -

ahh sweet i think someone moved my post over to here :) cheers -
if you want to play like that simply tell him that ur gona be following the rules - approach the course next time and tell him ur gonna play this one 100% legit: no gimmies everything in the cup all the rules - call it tournament conditions or something say u just want to see how u do in those circumstances! make it fun for him but ur still gettin to play how u want - then see how he scores and how the handicap is - if he doesnt play how u want then either dont worry about it and play ur own honest game, or find a new playin partner.
