  1. thanks for the help everyone. i really appreciate it. However, I've come to my decision, I am going to send it in for a complete restoration at the Cameron Custom Shop, I recieved one of my putters back today from the shop, and the work they do there is truly amazing, $250 for everything, but honestly guys, how many TeI3's do you see with pro platinum finishes and blue/white paint? i've not seen any, and this is worth it to be the only one with the finished putter.
  2. haha yeah oklahoma is big. ima bigg osu fan, both parents went there and my brothere is there now. GO POKES!!!
  3. i also forgot to mention i plan on doing the work by myself, i've heard great stuff about Black oxide services but i dont want major work done, i'm really just looking for a good polish
  4. thanks! their all beautiful clubs. to me the Pro Platinum is the best putter cameron has made, i use a Pro Platinum Midslant. no rotating, just keep the collection for the aws from guests haha
  5. Hello there, I am a Cameron collector (my collection includes 2 customized newport pro platinums, 1 customized newport classic, 1 newport circle t, 2 Napa valley Holidays, 1 circle t newport beach, etc. EVERY one is new) so I am no beginner in putters. However, one of my fellow employees recently purcahsed a new studio select, and knowing I was a collector gave me his older Del Mar 2 Long Slant TeI3, a great and also rare club, worthy of being racked in my collection. The clubs overall condition is mint, it has been well kept with a headcover over the years, but, as everyone knows, the Gun Blue finish rusts quickly, the putter had alot of rust, which I've removed to the best of my ability with steel-wool/soap/hot water/brushs etc. The Teryllium insert is perfect, after some of the same treatment it is as gold as new. The Gun Blue finish is still faded, with slight traces of rust. Does anyone know what polish or treatment i can use to sparken up the finish on this great club? instructions would be helpful, thanks. PS..sadly the putter isnt worth it to me to spend the $195 tht it would cost for restoration at the Shop. To much i could use on other Cameron Goods
  6. i have testors paint and it workd great. like i said i dont use toothpicks anymore and brushs arent stable enough
  7. i know there is little paint bottles strictly for painting clubs at stores such as golfsmith. might pick one up
  8. what do you guys use for something like this? i'm a cameron collector and want to do some "froot loops" paintwork, i've done dots and lines with toothpicks. they dont work well in my opinion. take a look http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...frootloops.jpg
  9. haha. Brad Kershaw is the name
  10. absolutely right. the headcover is cheaply made and the O, R, and M are misprint. also, the bottom side of the club (sole) on a fake is really shiny, due to cheap recycled scrap metal.
  11. hahahahahaahahahaha. i'm pretty sure he was mistaken and talking about Oil Can Vokey Wedges.
  12. i hope guys. thanks!
  13. i have oil can WEDGES and love them. i was curious about a putter finish. thanks anyway lol
  14. there is no such thing as a "groove sharpener" the tools actually only remove debris from grooves, such as rock dings that push the grooves inward, it reshapes them back towards normal, but you cannot "sharpen" grooves, if it could be done, the pro's would do it rather than getting new wedges every 6 months.
  15. thanks. all i needed to know. i'll pay the extra 30 bucks to get the finish i trust
  16. does anyone own a Scotty Cameron with the Oil Can finish??? I'm stuck between a Pro Platinum Finish (which i have on my other 5 Camerons) and the Oil Can that came stock on this model. Does the oil can wear off and the putter starts to rust like oil can wedges or the circa 62' finish? or does it not rust? thats the one and only reason i have Pro Platinum on my others, its a beautiful lo-glare no maintenance finish. i just dont want to be steel wooling every round!! thanks
  17. i have a spring season. im takin my +2 handicap to defend my state championship with 68 65 71
  18. oh crap. i dint even read jis swing speed i just kinda read about wat he said was going on
  19. im an expert on club making i put clubs together all the time. 1st things 1st it sounds like you shouldve bought the Grafalloy Prolaunch Red shaft (ping charges no extra for this and the HIGH LAUNCH v2) do you normally hit it about mid trajectory? the G10 head is designed to get it up more and that TFC shaft is a ballooner. thats why its going high. i would recoomend a Graffaloy Prolanuch Platinum.
  20. yes. they really are better feeling on a well struck ball as well as a mis-hit
  21. thts what i thought until i hit the superquad TP..its MUCH more stable. i prefer it to any other r7..and ive had 3. none where as good as the superquad TP
  22. i hit the Superquad TP today, it was SOLIDDD. i liked the ball flight i was getting with the standard weight configuration. id really reccomend it if it wasnt 600$
  23. tht sums it up. it makes the putter heavy and harder to swing in a rythmic stroke.
  24. fat grips are a joke.
  25. hahahahah i like the first part. its sad how many ppl actually do tht
