Pretty windy today, only got 9 in before it got real cold. Finished even, 1 bogie 1 birdie (34). Scored surprisinily well for not hitting my driver great, had some great saves. One from the sand at 100 yards within 3 feet (only to miss the birdie putt).

My longest is 315ish. Shaped it right to left, and it rolled forever.

My love for this game has only grown since we had our first daughter. She's 3 1/2 and just starting hitting balls the other day... It really is a wonderful thing. Congratulations on the new addition, it may take some time from your golfing but eventually you'll have a new golfing partner.

The best part of my game usually occurs from 160 in. My absolute weakness is driving the ball consistently.

I understand why he was suspended but I don't agree with it. We are going overboard with the political correctness sometimes, this being an example on it. Shirt was funny as hell though.

Overlap vs Interlock vs Baseball Grips

after a combination of closing the club face and reading hogans book, I just switched to overlap. I'm at least gonna give it a few months. -
a world class athlete gets caught smoking weed. Really not a big deal to me.

Just coming back from the winter layoff... Started hitting balls everyday a week ago, went out played 9 and shot 39, 3 boogies no birdies. Drove the ball decent, but it was 35 degrees outside. I'm looking forward to better weather.

I broke my fibula about 1'' above my ankle in January... I only had to have 2 pins put in right at my left ankle I was playing golf by April. It would have been longer if it was my right ankle. I'm just now getting back into Basketball and other stuff I did before. It still hurts like hell daily, but I can do basically everything I could before, so I'm happy w/ that.

Graham-Leech-Bliley. It wasn't just the poor loans peddled to people that had no means of affording them. 61% of sub prime loaners qualified for regular loans. Credit default swaps are at an estimated 60 TRILLION dollars. (the world GDP is around 62 Trillion). If you think low income home buyers account for 60 trillion in wealth you are smoking something. Ever heard of the ownership society? From the White House Fact Sheet, August 2004

I'm not sure about my swing speed, I measured it w/ a speed stick and it was like 105-110... Normally I'm driving including roll is 270-300 depending on if I get it in the sweet spot (which is really inconsistant for me)... The longest drive I hit this year was 312, w/ a good kick down hill. Currently use the R7 super quad, w/ stiff flex. My buddy whom played college golf is amazing though, we were out playing and he was averaging 320 - 340 w/ roll. He drove a par 4 355, absolutely amazing. He is using a titleist 983k, w/ a special x flex shaft... I think he told me his swing speed is between 125 - 127 consistant.

I don't think my wife has ever complained about me playing golf. I usually play 2 or 3 times a week. We do have a 3 year old, but on weekends I'll go out early like 6am, and I'll be done before there ready to really do anything anyways. Catching late twilight golf weekdays when wifey isn't working helps too I guess. I really am lucky though, my wife is very supportive of golf or anything else I like to do.

More power and distance behind the ball.
xTsUnAmI replied to justinmill14's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
The more relaxed you are the farther you'll hit it. I try to be completely relaxed, and take a big breath and exhale just before I start my back swing... Also making sure my arms are fully extended at impact seem to give me the most power. -
play one of my many other hobbies, which I do already when not golfing. Table tennis (really awesome sport), basketball, baseball, and play a lot more poker.

Yeah, you are in the right here. I almost got nailed like that a while ago, but the dude sliced his drive into my fairway and right before I began my swing, I felt and heard the ball go right past my right ear... Dude never yelled four, but he couldn't see me at all cause of the trees.... But standing in the middle of the fairway... That is ridicolous.

Tee/Fairway Standing behind the ball I visualize the type of shot I'm trying to hit, then take two practice swings promoting that shot. Walk a half moon, while flipping the club twice on the way in my left hand. Ground my club selecting my finish line, select my starting target and set my feet. Make sure my hands and arms are as loose as possible, waggle a few times... But I always key my swing w/ a deep breath. Green: I usually read my putts from the front first and if it's a tricky putt, I'll take a little longer while reading it. Once I get my line, I'll put my ball down w/ the little line pointing on the line of my putt... Step behind the ball about 5 feet, and take 3 practice strokes for speed. Half moon to the ball flipping my club, take 2 more practice strokes for speed next to ball... Step up, two looks at the cup/target, big deep breath and go.

How do you put spin on the ball?
xTsUnAmI replied to King Cobra II's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
put the ball a little further back in your stance and really try to trap the ball between the club and the ground taking a divot afterwards... Hit down on the ball as much as possible, and keep some weight on your left side. -
if he's a younger guy, I probably know who you are talking about although I can't remember his name.. Did he tell you about that?

This happened at my local course on Sunday sometime.... Some sort of argument broke out over slow play and one guy hit the other w/ his 6 iron.. The dude who got hit had to be life flighted from the course... Crazy stuff... I don't think I've ever seen slow play taken so seriously. http://www.king5.com/topstories/stor....57dade96.html

shot my Pb for 9 today... +1 36. 2 boogies 1 birdie. Finally have confidence in my driver, working the ball pretty good.. Just waiting for it all to come together, and hopefully can acheive my goal this year... even par over 18 holes.
-
1st round after the swing change only 2 range sessions... shoot +1 for 9 a new PB for me... Could have easily been even or 1 under. I'm so stoked I found his method... I know it's working for me.

Just took this swing to the range today, I have been struggling being so inconsistant the last few weeks, getting really frustrated.. I striked the ball better than I have since high school (and then took 3 years off till this year). The worst for me was the driver, after getting his technique down a little bit, I have nailing my driver way longer than before and always w/ about a 5 yard draw and consistant... I haven't got the turning the head thing yet, I've just been working on other aspects of the swing.. very intresting indeed. Thank for sharing.

I'm up north, Seattle, but was born just 40 minutes down the gorge from portland... Make it down that way pretty often.... welcome.

Nice Shot a 76 today, hit my drives awesome probably best of my life, short game wasn't great and I missed a lot of birdie putts by inches... But still very satisfying day.
