I'm in agreement with the "don't ask others what shoe is the best" idea. Every brand fits differently and no 2 feet are alike. That being said.......I avoid FJ. Their better quality shoes look like something you'd wear to a wedding with those pointy toes. I wear a size 13 and they look like kayaks on my feet. I think FJ was happy enough being the leader and benchmark years ago and never put thought into comfort. Now they're trying to catch up comfort and style wise with Nike and such. Just MO of course.

About 10 years ago I weighed 190 pounds. I'm 5'11". I dabbled in illegal substances better known as "roids". Worked out 4 times a week. Looked good. I'm a slob now. started at 238 pounds a week ago. Weighed 230.5 today. I try on shirt and pants combo's now like a woman just looking for something that fits. It's disgusting. If not for me.........I want to do it for my kids. (three aged 6 and under) I don't want to NOT be able to do something with the kids because of a physical inability/weight. Another 30 to go!!!!!!!!!!! Running with an extra 40 pounds of weight is like holding a bag of cat litter under each arm.

Paid $4.05 for regular yesterday at a local Hess. Not bad for NY.

Don't sell PING G10's or i10's short. May as well try everything before you fork over a lot of cash.

The Nike Juice ball does it for me. Long with less spin than most yet soft feel. For $19.99 a dozen it can't be beaten.

JMO but I find the Nike Juice to be a phenomenal ball for $19.99 so I don't even bother with anything else.

Take 'em off and put 'em in the trunk. I'll wipe 'em off with a damp towel every other round unless they're really dirty. After the season, I buy a new pair. They're just shoes so I don't treat them like they're Renoir sketches.

I have a Rapture 5 wood that I REALLY like. The head is large as the 3 wood is. (The 7 wood is normal size) Rather than do what you are thinking of doing, I carry a 9.5° G10 driver and a Nike Sasquatch Lucky 13° driver. Works out very well. I hit it about 260 and it's a real fairway finder.

You can have personalized poker chip sets made up these days so I'd guess you'll be seeing a lot more of this. Anything from initials, logos to digital images. Pretty cool to have chips with pics of the kids on 'em if you ask me.

Has he tried G10's? If he's looking to save some $$$$$ he may want to try G5's. Either way, ya can't lose.

How about some PING G5's off of ebay? Hard to find a better iron in that price range.
