Thanks and I will, pt is progressing nicely my range of motion has been getting better and hopefully once all the pain recedes I can start working on getting my strength back in my arm I don't think I should go back to work until I'm feeling close to what I was before the injury.
-
Sorry for the confusion on my behalf, the tenodesis is correct and it was the labrum that had the partial tear. My range of motion is improving very well according to the therapist I'm going twice a week Tuesdays and Thursdays, pain is still there especially after exercises. I'm almost 2 years years from retirement and I think I may stay off work a little longer my job is in construction and to be honest I'm a little scared of re-injuring myself.
-
Yes they also did repair of the rotator cuff tear.
-
Two weeks since surgery, I have been able to increase range of motion but I have to be careful pain is still there and if I overdo it even a little I'm sore most of the day. PT is scheduled for Monday the 17th.

Well I think I should be really looking forward in the next 6 months, I'm currently on the mend from surgery to my left bicep tenodesis and rotator cuff, golf has been on the sidelines for way too long like 2 years. Prior to my course being closed permanently I did manage shooting sub par on the front 9 three times , 35 twice and 34 once which was for me very impressive on a course that was 139 slope at that time. Besides some nice memories my daughter wants to take the game back up again and that is something that has me very happy I honestly thought she lost her interest when she was around 12 or 13 and I'm not the type to try and force her to do things.

Baseball cards, I have Ricky Hendersons rookie card that should be going for more now that he passed away December 23rd.
-
There was also a partial tear of my rotator cuff. I see what you mean and no my hips and torso have nothing to do with my bicep.
-
I guess my bicep tenodesis was so bad they had cut it loose and re-attached it to the labrum. I'm just curious if anyone around here had that same procedure and did it shorten or lengthen your turn.
-
Well it's been a few days and I can tell this going to take a few months at least before life starts returning to normal. The two procedures were shoulder arthroscopy/surgery and arthroscopic biceps tenodesis. I have the post op appointment on the 6th and I'll make any updates if necessary.
-
Thank you

Well finished my pre op appointment today and sometime Friday morning I'll finally be starting to really get this whole episode behind me. I left the info in the car but apparently I have a tear on my bicep tendon that will have to be reattached which explains why I get pain traveling down my arm.

One reason the 3 wood is staying more straight could be because it creates more backspin than the driver which will help hold a more straighter shot.
-
So it's gonna happen the surgery that is on the 28th of February. I guess I should be excited but I'll defer that to when I can lace up the spikes again.
-
Okay I apologize for allowing so much time elapse between my updates but I am resigned to the fact that surgery is definitely needed I have tried everything else and even paid out of pocket for a "PRP" injection I got 2 months ago and the pain is not going away in fact it's been getting worse. I'm either going in late this month or early February to get this taken care of once and for all.

AIR CONDITIONING.

Sunflower seeds shells on the putting green.

Just want to share a quick update with everyone. I went to the range the week before last, even though I took it easy no significant pain occurred just a slight twinge when I swung my #4 hybrid. The most encouraging news was no soreness the next morning. However I think switching back to graphite shafts is definitely gonna happen, my mp15's were fitted with X shafts and having something lighter will help.

Yes I agree with everything you've said, before the first injection I couldn't lift my arm without pain and then shortly after the injection and a couple weeks of pt the pain was gone and still is so I'm just hoping I may get lucky twice sort-of like lightning and the same spot chances but we'll see. It's just I haven't been able to swing a golf club with a backswing more than waist high and that just won't do at all I'm only 58 and have been a single digit index for well over half my life so far and having my swing speed cut below 80 or more is something I'm just not quite ready for, I don't mean to offend anyone It's just I'm not ready for that yet I know we all get older and the body loses strength and flexibility I just think I still got a good chunk left.
-
It's been a little more than a year since I can last remember hitting golf balls and today I just got my second cortisone injection in 11 months. I thought maybe shortly after the first injection I was going to be able to start playing again with therapy but the pain while doing my backswing past halfway just didn't subside like just lifting my hands up in the air did. So today the Orthopedic surgeon put more in the backside of the shoulder than before to address the tendon more. I'm going to try therapy for another 3 months and if I can't swing the club without pain then I think surgery is going to be my next option.
-
I have and I will again when I know I'll have the time to practice or else it's just a waste. I have known others who will just whack bucket after bucket somehow hoping a golf swing will find them miraculously.

What Is the Deal With Courses Going Cart Only?

Haha I like it and no doubt much lighter than the 2 seaters so less wear and tear on the course. -

I see I posted here on this topic a while ago but I think single rider carts would be a big help. -
Mainly baseball cards, have a few full sets from 70's and random cards all the way back to 58'. I know I do have some of value like some of Aaron, Brock, Mantle, Clemente but not the very valuable years unfortunately. I do have Ricky Hendersons rookie card which I believe has some real value.

Ouch...that Gibson highlight really hurt as an A's fan. Vin Scully always got the call on the 18th at PGA tournaments back in the day.
