  2. Don't know about the website. I bought it from Z-Man on PT, email him directly to see what he has available, and how you can get an oil can through him.
  3. Check eBay or Puttertalk.com; Byron makes 'em with various finishes and then sends them to his sales guys, who then post in those two places.
  4. Sure, Steve at Byron listed it here ; the 006 is around $300 - $330. If you get a custom made one, I believe handstamping adds around $25; then some more for a few other options but that should give you an idea.
  5. I'd been thinking about changing over from my Scotty Studio Design for several months, and finally settled on a Byron Morgan 006. Oil Can finish, 34" and 355g, blue Iomic midsize grip - this thing is a beauty. I just tried it on the practice green for a little while; the feel is so sweet when you hit the sweet spot, just like butter. Got used to it pretty quickly - can't wait to put it in play this weekend! Here are some pictures that Steve at Byron Design had taken; I'll put up some of mine later when I get a chance.
  6. I recently created a site with Webs.com - totally free for a personal site (you can upgrade for additional features), fast and responsive interface, I'd recommend it.
  7. I carry four: From my AP2 set, these are used for full swings only so really are my 10 and 11 irons ;) PW 47* (125 yards) GW 51* (110 yards) My scoring clubs are my real wedges: SW 54* (95 yards) LW 58* (never full swing with this) I've got my yardages under 95 yards covered by either the SW or LW. Around the green, I almost always chip with one of these two and use both out of sand as needed too. My 58* is great, can be laid way open for very high soft shots (so don't need/want a 60* or more), very versatile grind; I love chipping with it, typically flying the ball pretty close to the hole. When laying up, I don't try and necessarily hold back to a fixed yardage - I look forward to being only 30-50 yards out, feel like I can/should get it close every time from there.
  8. I've been reading some of my Rotella books again, and also just read "Fearless Golf" by Dr. Gio Valiante. They all talk about practicing your long game in "trusting mode", not "training mode". No more swing thoughts, just choose and focus on your target, then swing away. Even more importantly, the short game has to be the majority of your practice now. This is what I have just started doing, and have dropped from a 7.2 to a 5.7, with a couple more consistent low rounds lately. Hopefully I'll be down in the high-3/low-4 index range soon.
  9. I use the Golf Round towel, similar to the Ballzee - great product, folds small enough to keep in your pocket at all times, stays dry on the outside and cleans the ball really nicely. I order them here .
  10. I don't agree about the gamesmanship - play your game, be a gentleman, and do the best you can. Don't try to get inside his head, etc. Oh, if he doesn't concede that really short putt (I'm talking a few inches), that's pretty bad - mark it, read it from behind the hole, side, etc. like it's a long putt - let him know how ridiculous it is to make you putt from 4"; that's pretty nasty man! Your first two points are all mental - Bob Rotella's book "Golf is not a Game of Perfect" addresses these specifically, can you get your hands on it at the library maybe? Definitely worth reading!
  11. I will likely be selling my SG4 soon, just bought a Leupold GX-I; PM me if you're interested in the SkyCaddie. You can then use the Gift Card for the bag you want, and have both things :)
  12. I mean the graphics in the image you attached - with the GIR F/B/T, DIF etc.
  13. Nice shooting! How did you get Scorecard to export your round with those graphics?
  14. I ordered my new driver after finally going through a fitting on a launch monitor a couple of weeks ago (after a few months of trying them all out), and it arrived yesterday - a Titleist 909 D2 10.5* with Matrix Ozik X-Con 5 Stiff. Spent about 25 minutes at the range and it felt great, hit some beautiful shots with a nice penetrating ball flight; can't wait to try it on the course. Also, I finally decided to replace my SkyCaddie SG4 which I'd used for two years; for various reasons, I wanted a rangefinder and ordered the Leupold GX-I (the review and comments on this site helped a lot!) - arrived in the office an hour ago. This thing is very compact, and feels nice - looking forward to comparing it with my SG4 for a round or so before I sell the latter. Phil Mickelson's Secrets of the Short Game DVD also arrived, so that'll help :) Have lots of golf planned for the week starting tomorrow - at least 5 rounds - so I'll be able to update this thread with actual playing experience soon. I think my bag is all set, no more "stuff" needed!
  15. I'm in CT too (though probably much further than you, I'm just west of Hartford so it'd be quite a drive down to Bethpage) and have wanted to play the Black (or Red) course; maybe we should have a Sand Trap "outing" for a foursome or two if it can somehow be setup?
