  1. Wow..great looking blades. Gotta hit these!
  2. Thanks buddy!
  3. Figured out how to break 80...play an "easy" par 71 course (6,015 yards / 68.5 / 118)...shot a 79. But, yeah, still had to hit the shots and make the putts. Stats: 9/13 FWYS, 6/18 GIR, 30 putts Best driving day I've ever had (not saying much), was "fitted" for a Bio Cell+ driver about a month ago after using only a 3W for so long. Such a nice looking, low-spinning club. Need to post a review of it while I still like it lol. Put in a lot of work w the driver over the last 4 weeks, it's nice to see results. 3 of the missed greens were fringes, so I'll take it I guess. Had a plugged bunker shot which resulted in a double. Not the greatest putting day ever, but just seeing a number in the 70's feels like some weird monkey off my back. Things to work on: iron accuracy from 120+, putts from 20' and in, along with everything else lol
  4. LOL seriously...I feel like I have one foot in each club at the moment. Anyway, you seem to be on the right track...at least you have a game plane!
  5. It's a tough piece for a lot of us I think, obviously even tougher with the woods. Have you (or anyone) tried the Medicus training aid below? It's the one @iacas uses in that Key #4 video. Thinking about giving it a whirl...
  6. I was watching an old "Playing Lessons" w/ Streelman and he gave a backswing tip, to feel like you "get your back to point at the target." I though it was a good "feeling" to achieve what this thread is about. Couple things that happened when I was practicing this...1) I felt I was over-swinging, and 2) my right elbow was all over the place. Looking at the pics below, I see Tiger's right elbow is in nice and tight, but the guy below him is pretty "disconnected." Should I be trying to get the picture to look more like Tiger, or just kind of "whatever works?" Also, is the result meant to be a faster swing/more distance? Only asking because it seems like the only reason for having the right elbow float like the other guy would be to get a little more leverage/power. Quote:
  7. There are plenty of part-time and full-time "hackers" here...but we prefer the commonalities of a functional golf grip.
  8. Yeah...probably time to move on. He was good on the air, I hope he goes that route. Maybe get Nance out of there. Duval and Faldo would be amazing IMO
  9. Exactly. Find one you like the looks of and get it spec'd up to make it "feel" how you want it.
  10. Completely different than Sergio...much better demeanor and attitude at his age (as others have said). You can tell that golf is very important to him, but it's not "everything."...I guess you could say he's much more balanced than Sergio was at this age.
  11. Just rolls off the tongue does it? LOL
  12. LOL there you go...TST is keeping GC alive!!
  13. Nothing like a couple old blow-hards arguing about another golfer lol. I'm amazed that the GC still exists at all.
  14. Kind of had the same experience. I bought the Sensei's first. I liked the feel "OK"...another golfer asked me if I stole them from a nursing home lol. Very hard for me to look at them. They just don't appeal to me, and they have a weird toe shape (but that is pretty much any golf shoe...although, I can't figure out why it's so difficult for shoe manufactures to create a "normal" looking shoe). The Gent is the best looking shoe that TRUE puts out, IMO. They are super comfortable to walk in too. I've had mine for a few months and they are holding up great. I wish Nike would take their Roshe design, shape, and fit, and put soft spikes on the bottom.
  15. Gotta love Rickie...he might be our only chance to win any points at the Ryder Cup
  16. Nice dude. Not much to add from me...what are some things you are doing to stop losing the wrist angle?
  17. This was awesome...I noticed her fix her hair up all "perfect" and just blatantly stare at him, but he never looked lol. I wondered if that dude behind her was "with" her and was getting annoyed...cuz he was kinda doing that confused-constipated-jealous-fake-smile thing.
  18. Yuuup...I'd be down for that. I actually have a friend who has a small production business (mostly high-end weddings, company training videos, etc) and wants some "sports stuff" for his portfolio. Might try and convince him to "volunteer" a few hours, and then he can use that for his portfolio. Just an idea anyway.
  19. I'd be interested in being a part of this if there is room for me! If there isn't room for me to play, I'd even come just to watch, help out, and meet everyone. What course(s) do you have in mind?
  20. I'm the same way...I can't NOT keep a running score vs par in my head. I've tried a few rounds of "I'm just gonna work on shots and not keep score" but it never ends up that way lol.
  21. I was thinking more along the lines of Krank on the long drive circuit.
