i just don't think a 15 inch cup and all of a sudden there is gonna be there big golf boom, i live in NJ and there is plenty of golf and most of the local public tracks are hard to get a decent tee time . . .
-
I agree, i think it should stay the was it is . . .and i am a 23/24 handicap. Last summer i couldn't break 100 I took a couple lessons played more and shoot in the 90's now and broke 90 one time this summer. I get it that golf doesn't really work with the add water and stir generation. But changing the game doesn't make sense to me. Most people can't hit a 90mph fastball so they are not going to tell pitchers to throw slower!!!

Getting tired after 12-13 holes?
Chris08527 replied to Chris08527's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Wow, did that go bad in a hurry. Let me just clear some things, I do not consider riding 18 holes exercise as i stated I felt like my "golf swing" started to break down i did not feel tired. I am curious if I am just not in "golf shape" and others golfers have ever experieced this before. I used to play a couple a rounds a year and now trying to play at least one round a week and sometimes sneak in 2 and an extra 9 at my local so wondering if I am golf tired if that makes more sense??? -

I do walk also, but this weekend was a cart both days? -
Hey Guys Was able to play sat and sun this weekend. I am currently a 25 handicap. Sat I shot 104 blew up the last 4 holes and noticed my swing started to break down. Sunday broke 90 for the first time and went 85, same thing swing broke down but was able to recognize it and put the driver away and tried to keep it together last 4 holes... I was able to ... Wondering if my body is getting tired the last 5-6 holes???

hello everyone, late last season i bought a new set of ping g20's. I went with the g20 wedges Gap (or U wedge) 50*, SW 54* and LW 58*, I feel like the SW and the LW are the basically the same distance off the turf and leaves a little bit of a gap in my clubs, or is this normal in a bag for the wedges??? any suggestions? chris

Thanks Dave, that is what I was looking for, just signed up online through one of the local courses . . .

Hello Everyone, What is the process to get a handicap? I am not that good shoot anywhere from 92-103 depending on the day... But play with some guys that are pretty good and want me to get one Thanks Chris

Hello Everyone, I live in NJ, so playing right now a lot of course just aerated the greens and while i understand the concept behind it, I was curious to everyone thoghts/feelings about it. The course on played today the greens were almost "un-putt-able" if that is a word. One put the ball literally jumped 3 inches in the area and other times looked almost like plinko on the price is right . . .lol. Just wondering how everyone else deals with this in the early rounds of the season. Chris

Callaway XHot 2 Driver question???
Chris08527 replied to Chris08527's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
figured it out the smallest gear/cog was stuck to the head of the club . . .all good now . . . -
Hey Guys, I have the 9* xhot2 driver. I was looking at the settings yesterday. i want to keep the 9* put change the club face to draw, it doesn't appear that I can unless I go minus one on the loft (8*). Is that correct or am I missing something? Chris

G20 vs. G25: Performance difference?
Chris08527 replied to WUTiger's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i bought a set of G20's this fall and really like the clubs, but if your gonna buy the used set for 450$ why not get fitted and get a brand new set of G20's for 550$??? think something to consider . . . -
Wow thanks for all the help guys. I was able to get out to my dicks sports freehold NJ, if anyone is ever in the area check out there golf section. i was told it is basically the biggest golf selection east the mississippi, only bigger selections are in cali and the golf staff there is great! I hit 5 different drivers Xhot1/10.5* Xhot2/9* pingG20/10* new big bertha and big bertha alpha think those were both 10.5* Keep in mind my old driver was an old bertha with the firm flex shaft and my acg drive was about 240 yards. I liked the callaway X2/9* driver and hit it consistently 263-265 and I like tha way that felt the best everything else i hit was in the 250 range and did not like the feel of the ball coming off the club face. When my pocket allows I am gonna go X2 in driver and 3 wood!!!

thanks for the help guys, i recently got fitted at a big box store for my ping G20 irons, i was pretty happy with the process and have seen a difference at the range and one day i snuck 9 in before the polar vortex came back here to the northeast ( i am in NJ). still doing my research for my drivers . . .
-
Hello Guys, looking for a new driver and i am partial to Callaway as I have an old big bertha. At the range I was using a buddy's Xhot in a 10.5. While it wasn't much longer then my old big bertha It was straighter and more consistant. I was thinking maybe going original Xhot driver in a 9.5 and a xhot 3 wood. But seems like the trend is to going to a higher loft driver? any thoughts?

WUTiger, thanks for you advice, I haven't got to hit the clubs yet . . .little cold here in NJ, but i plan on going out soon to get the distances of each club and maybe just get a wedge to fit my gaps??? not sure what i am going to do yet . . . do you think a 54* cleveland wedge will give me more bite on a green then say the ping G20 SW that is 54*?
