  1. I have a Divvy that I will never get rid of. It is a brand of divot repair tool, with a magnetic ball marker attached. My ball marker is of Sound of Freedom Golf Course aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. I was stationed there and spent countless hours on the base course. It was there that I really developed my golf game.
  2. I have only had it a couple of days, and it's not that strange, but I get a double take when people see that I have a 4 wood. I guess that they are not all that common, and most people use a 3 wood.
  3. Heath was the better Joker. Although he did benefit from a mush better script. I thought that Jack Nicholson could have done a better job in the other Batman if he was given a better script. It was just a different style of movie.
  4. What is the softest feeling ball that you have played? I currently play a Titleist ProV1, but I was wondering if there is anything else out there that is just as soft for less money, or actually softer than the ProV1. I am not worried about distance or spin, just that nice soft feel. Only current balls, no old Balatas, hehe.
  5. I went back to Titleist because I could never get a straight answer on which Taylormade ball is the spinnier ball. I really prefer to have a soft feel. I don't necessarily want the spin, but I do like the softness of the ProV1.
  6. I think that almost all Ping irons are ugly, so I would rather use a Titleist. However, I doubt that either one would replace my Mizuno's
  7. Taylormade makes a fine wood. I demoed the Tour Burner TP, but I just hit the Mizuno MP-600 a bit better and more consistently.
  8. Definitely get the MP-57's. They are very solid. You get good feedback from these irons, but they are quite forgiving as well. My swing has improved since purchasing these irons. I love that Mizuno feel!
  9. I just got a Mizuno F-60 4 wood that I can hit just fine off the deck. I went with the 4 wood to fill the yardage gap better, but the F-60 3 wood is nearly identical. Very solid clubs. Off the tee it works very nice as well.
  10. I recommend the Mizuno wedges. They are forged and have a great feel. Plus, I get a huge amount of spin out of mine compared to my old 588's, but not so crazy as to pull everything back off of the green. They have that legendary Mizuno buttery feel similar to their irons.
  11. Scotty Camerons putters are American Made! I know it is not a whole set of clubs, but it is all that I can think of right now.
  12. I saw a golf tournament on TV years ago and I was really impressed that these guys could be so accurate from so far away. I mean, these guys were hitting balls inside of 10 feet from over 100 yards away. That made me want to give the game to try. I lived in Florida at the time near a bunch of courses, but my parents said that we couldn't afford it. I never actually got to try the game till I turned 15 and lived in Tennessee. I finally convinced my mom to let me rent some clubs and give the game a try. Well, I guess the rest is history. I still love this game despite having shot a 175 in that first round.
  13. Mizuno makes the best irons on the world, in my opinion. I love my MP-57's! I would recommend that you go with the Mizunos.
  14. I just got a new fairway wood, although not a 3 wood. I went with a 4 wood. It is 16.5* and a touch shorter shaft. It filled the gap between the driver and 3 iron better for me than a three wood and it was a little more forgiving as there was more loft to it, and I am only giving up about 5 or 6 yards in distance. By the way, it is a Mizuno F-60. Very nice club!
  15. Enjoy those new sticks. I hope they work out for you.
  16. Blades will be able to work the ball better and have a wonderful feel when you hit the sweet spot. However you will be severely punished when you mis-hit them. I am thinking of getting an old set of blades just to use from time to time on the range. I don't know if I have the confidence to actually play them, though. I would say go ahead and get a set. Keep your old irons in case the blades are just too much.
  17. I just went to a Driver and 4 Wood set-up. I am not giving up too many yards with the 4 wood and I could control it better than the 3 wood that I demoed. I think that your set-up is fine.
  18. I would recommend the MP-57 irons. A lot of people may say that you game is not quite ready for them yet, but I think that if you continue to work at it these irons will be great and will suit you for a very long time.
  19. I believe that there is less draw bias in the Tour Burner. It is not a fade bias, just not as severe of a draw bias.

    God is crying!?

Yes, I will play in the rain as long as it's not too heavy. I will not play if there is any lightning.

    Eagles!?!?!

I have only eagled on par 5's.
  22. I use the Titleist ProV1 and the Taylormade TP Black.
  23. I haven't played them, but if I were to get a second set of irons, they would be the ones I would go with. They are absolutely gorgeous. I love the look of a true muscle-back blade. I actually heard a rumor that Tiger was using Mizuno irons stamped with Titleist when he first turned pro.
  24. I used a set of the original Slingshot irons for 4 or 5 seasons till this year. I really loved them at first. I hit them straight as an arrow no matter where on the clubface I hit it. This also happens to be the same reason that I replaced them. I wanted a club with a little more feedback. I now know where I hit the ball off of the clubface and I know how to correct it. I would really like to try the new VR irons. Those things look HOT! I did try the Sumo2, but it is way too loud for me.
  25. I got Stan Utley's books: The Art of Putting, and The Art of the Short Game.
