  1. "Workouts that do nothing for the golf game"????????? I'm sorry, but there's a reason why Tiger is better than everyone else. Maybe his workouts do do something for his golf game.
  2. Might be able to beat him in competitive eating of some sort. I don't think Tiger likes to gorge himself like that when he's eating. (neither do I, but hell- anything to beat Tiger :) As far as real sports go, I might be able to beat him at tennis.
  3. Golf of course, tennis, hockey. I enjoy watching numerous others.
  4. I actually have just gotten into watching more of the LPGA lately. It is just as interesting as the PGA and when the PGA's got a bunch of guys I don't know playing a tournament, I prefer to switch to the LPGA. Plus, Paula Creamer is pretty hot.
  5. I feel sorry for Aaron Rodgers. If I were him I'd be happy that the Packers seem to be behind me, but would still be a little worried that they might cave in and let Brett back for one more season (or more for that matter). I wouldn't feel safe about my job until Brett was under contract with another team. It really is too much now. Brett has gone back and forth on retirement every day it seems for the last couple years. Make a decision, stick with it, and quit leaving the Packers hung out to dry while you make your decisions (and then renege on them).
  6. Yeah I was rooting for him too. Perry is on fire though.
  7. It would be cool to have a women's Masters, but integrating women into the regular Masters shouldn't and wouldn't work. I'm not a huge fan of women playing in men's events not because I don't think they're capable or can be competitive, but because things have to go both ways. If women were allowed to play in men's tournaments, why wouldn't men be allowed to play in women's events? I don't mean to be taken the wrong way here. I am all for promoting the women's tour to be as big as the men's tour. I am quite a follower of both tours. But I just prefer the men play with the men and the women play with the women. If exceptions are made, that would open the door to more and more exceptions. The line must be drawn somewhere.
  8. The second he announced his retirement for the 53503819th time earlier this year, I knew he'd come back. It just ain't the same deciding to call it quits right after the season ends rather than waiting to see what it feels like being retired when training camp starts. Favre plays football and he can still play football well. Unless he won the Super Bowl earlier this year, there was no way he'd stay retired after the kind of season he had last year and how close he was to the Super Bowl.
  9. Paula Creamer without a doubt.

    Golf Gods?

Of course I believe. A word of advice... Never say to yourself after hitting a great drive on a par 5 that you might escape with less than an 8 (personal average). A series of duffs, hooks, slices, bad bounces, lip-outs etc. will ensue and you'll end up with nothing less than an 8. The Gods were paying me back for my overconfidence. Never doubt their powers.
  11. Nice one. I felt like doing all that today with some of the shots I was hitting. Fortunately, I have a bit of self-control that keeps me from looking like an idiot.
  12. Most of the time I'll go with my 4-Hybrid, though if the situation calls for it I might hit my 5-wood.
  13. I played there a few years ago (I think it was the last year of the match play tournament there). I hadn't been playing for too long at the time so as you can guess, my score was less than thrilling. But I don't really remember any glaring problems with the conditions at the time. Seemed to me to be a pretty normal course. Maybe now that the tournament has left, they don't keep it up as well as they used to? I don't know.
  14. Thank you Chas. I play tennis myself as well. As for golf though, I live out in East County and normally play Singing Hills (now Sycuan), Steele Canyon, and Cottonwood. I've been wanting to venture out into different parts of the county to play, but keep finding myself teeing it up in the same old places :)
  15. Well I found this site while searching for golf forums on the net. Just wanted to see what was out there and stumbled across this site. It looked pretty cool so I decided to register. I don't know how "active" I'll be here (probably just swing by every once in a while to have a look around) but thought I'd say hello anyways. I'm from the San Diego area as well- nice to see others from around here too.
