  1. I can't stand Buck's baseball announcing. But I have no idea why people like Kalas either. I find it unbearable to listen to a Phillies game.
  2. I chose making good stroke as my problem. I have made several big benders that drop into the side of the cup. Alignment is rarely my issue, I actually enjoy attempting putts that break. As for putting a good stroke on the ball, I'm working on that. I either hit it too soft or too right. I have SBST stroke and I am now looking for a putter that is more suited for my stroke. The reason I hit longer putts to the right is because of the toe weighting on the White Hot XG #1. As I begin to move the putter back through, the toe opens the face up and I push the shot right. To counter this, I sometimes take too soft of a backstroke or forwardstroke to keep the face from opening up and I leave the putt short.
  3. I'm 6'1" and play .5" long and 2* up. I just played my first round yesterday with my new irons and the length was a notable difference as well as the more upright club head. I no longer only had dirt and grass on the toe of my club, but spread evenly along the edge. My wrist to floor is bout 36".
  4. Haha, nice. I lived in Alaska for a year when I was one year old, but went back 4 years ago. We got in at like 2 in the morning and it was like just before sunset back home. I am going to play 36 on Friday. We have fall break and greens fee is $15 all day for a student. I'll play more if the course isn't too bad. I will break in my new irons then too.
  5. What are you, a clown?
  6. I always play for bogey golf, average my pars with my double bogeys and hope for nothing worse. I have yet to achieve a true 18 over on a full 18 holes. My lowest score is a 91 on a par 72. Perhaps my most memorable round. I was well on my way to sub 90 on a course I rarely hit mid 90's on, and then the triple bogey and 4 over par came. I was quite upset, and in fun my brother tossed an old shitty wood he had in his bag and told me to relieve my anger. I did, I broke it over my knee and threw it into the woods. However, that wasn't all. I threw the club end in by holding near the broken side and it cut my hand pretty good. My hand was bleeding pretty good and not wanting to call it a day because I only had 3 holes left, I played on. I parred out the last 3 holes after that, the best 3 hole stretch I had all day. I attribute it to holding the grip lighter, a more proper grip I presume. Sorry, for going way OT, but I learned a good lesson that day. I will never break another club in my life. I was so mad at myself for almost cutting short one of my best rounds ever. EDIT: The only thing keeping me from bogey golf now is my putting. I am going to keep track of my stats per round starting tomorrow and may get a new putter. I'm looking to get a face balanced putter that would be more suited for my stroke.
  7. It's the same when we complain how our favorite baseball players or quarterbacks suck. Sure they're much better than us, but in relative terms, they are awful.
  8. This past winter in Florida we were playing an executive course that hard plastic cart path signs. I teed it up on a long par 3 and took a big swing. I topped it and it hit one of those plastic yellow signs square. It sounded like a light bulb popping. It happened so quick because the sign was so close that I heard the pop before I could even look up. There were pieces of the sign scattered around in front of the tee box. My brothers and I were laughing uncontrollably. I haven't been playing very long, so that is my personal funny shot. Although one time I had hit a tree and it came off in a 45* angle to my left as my dad was driving up the fairway and it hit the side of his cart. That was funny too, but not as funny as the sign.
  9. Mind games, I like it.
  10. I never said I believed all aspects of the movie. It certainly made me question and that is the reason I researched it for myself.
  11. Yes, that is what I was responding too. After reading most of the debunking911.com website, there is so much evidence against every conspiracy about what happened on 9/11 that it is impossible that such a conspiracy exists after reading it. Every conspiracy is founded on misinformation and misinterpretation of quotes and research. I encourage everyone to read through this website. I just spent the last 2 hours reading it.
  12. After doing some research I discovered Debunking 9/11 Conspiracy Theories . So far I have read quite a bit about Dr. Jones. He is not a credible source, as these folks appear to be. Though he is a physicist, he has no experience with Civil Engineering. He has never had a paper published in a credible journal relating to Civil Engineering. I am trying to discredit this video myself, and I thank everyone for there insight.
  13. I completely agree with this. The reason for all of these conspiracies is because we are kept in the dark by our government and media of everything that is really happening in our world today. Much of this (conspiracy) stems from hearsay; some believe it, others dismiss it.
  14. Please watch from 53 minutes to 58:50. Dr. Steven Jones is a Physicist at Brigham Young University. Rebut the video, after all, that is what this thread is about.
  15. I don't like it when someone spits on the green, but the fairway I'm fine with as long as it's not constant as you described. My main point for this post is about Boo Weekley today at the Ryder Cup. I could swear that I saw something white fly from his mouth just as they switched cameras to him as he was lining up a putt on the green. I thought it was pretty bush for a pro to do so on the putting surface.
  16. Thanks, but it doesn't sound like you have seen the movie. The molten metal attributed to thermite is the likely cause of pancaking the three WTC buildings. WTC 7 was never struck by an airplane, yet seemed to collapse as the result of just 2 or 3 fires. It appears that all three were the result of techniques used by controlled demolition. WTC 7 collapsed down the center as the sides fell into it. I'm an trying to play devil's advocate here because I never believed these things were possible, but I feel this movie brought new light to the subject.
  17. I just got done watching Zeitgeist for school and I am not sure what to make of it. I don't want to believe that government, not only our own, would be capable of performing such acts. The religious aspect I can buy, which I believe gives credit to everything else in the movie. For those who have not seen it, you can watch it here for free. It's 2 hours long, but really makes you think. It is broken up into 3 parts. The first part debunks religion, Christianity as the main focus. Part 2 is about 9/11, and similar terrorist acts staged by national governments. It also mentions the London train bombings, Oklahoma City bombing, Lusitania sinking, Tonkin Gulf incident, and Pearl Harbor attack. The third part is about the men behind the curtain. The main idea is the progression towards a global government, led by international banks. The Rockefeller family is a key component to this movement. RFID chips injected into every American as well as the North American Union are mentioned with some disturbing detail. If you haven't seen it, take the time to watch it before you make any ridiculous comments. I was always with the idea that believing that the government was behind 9/11 was un-American, but Zeitgeist really makes you think. I look forward to hearing about your thoughts.
  18. Like Lee said, I think it's fine after the hole has played out, but not before that or after a competitor had just missed a putt to halve. I think that's unsportsmanlike.
  19. No, but I was thinking about this thread on Thursday. I hit my ball right behind a grouping of three trees and had to hit my next shot up hill between an opening 2 feet wide 5 feet in front of me. I was still 140 or so out and had to hit it hard to get it to the green. I didn't hit it well but I made it through the gap and left it 10 yards short of the green.
  20. Well maybe to put things in perspective. Today I drove a ball straight down the middle of the fairway, hit once jumped 10 yards directly to the left. They just went through with aerator so it must have hit a sizeable whole, clump of dirt or a sprinkler cap. It stayed in the fairway for me but there have been times where I think I drive a ball down the middle but can't see the ball land because the fairway goes downhill quite a way and the ball is nowhere to be seen.
  21. Not a fan of these slingshots.
  22. You say you play the ProV1x, so what about the black's? I played the Platinums last year when I was nowhere near good enough to play them, so I can't judge for myself from that experience.
  23. Sorry for bringing up an old post, but for you guys who play ProV1/V1x would you switch to the One Blacks or Platinums if you could get them new for under $30 a dozen?
