  1. It could just be your confidence level. Also your swing could change, maybe try moving the position of the ball in your stance. Maybe since they aren't your "scoring" clubs your trying too hard to hit them. P.S. you can't be that bad with a 5 handicap.
  2. I choked in my last round with a triple on 18 as well, but mine was just for a PR. I'd just try to swing slow, nice and smooth. If your in the lead, then a par works.. and it's perfectly fine to be near the green in 2. Was it a par 3, 4 or 5?
  3. So are you looking for some spin or hitting it straighter? straighter balls: E6+, DT solo, nike juice, HX Hot spinners: E5, Top Flite Gamer, HX Hot Bite
  4. I have a 56/60, so I'm missing that gap wedge. Try a 52/58, 54/60 or 52/56.. I personally think a 60 is a very hard club to hit consistently, while my 56 is no problem at all.
  5. Well I just bought a brand new set of Wilson Pi5's for 125$ yesterday, I would probably get: 52*, 56*,60 degree wedges, either CG12/14, Taylormade Z Tp, Cally X-Tour, or Vokey Spin Milled, (say ~350) 6 new Titleist gloves (100) New 2 hybrid/5 wood. Probably a TM Burner (200) New 3 wood, not sure what brand (250 max) New driver (400) New shoes (100) New bag (150) 450 left on rounds.. Or a golf cart, not sure how good one can be for only 2k.. but I wouldn't mind finding out.
  6. A 2001 vr6 jetta that has been turned more manly. tints, lowered, black non-retarded looking racing rims, and other goodies on the insire.
  7. I got a lesson last week, and played later that day. Shot an 89.. I would have had my best score had I not tripled 18. Then again the only things he really changed for me was my swing plane and my grip.
  8. Does anyone know if country clubs sharpen the grooves? Or does it seem like my only chance is online/locally?
  9. check out djyoshi's thread, he's around the same time and wondering the same thing.
  10. I have x-20 knock offs... I got them from ebay for 150$
  11. TaylorMade good drivers, I love my 3i, I heard that their wedges are real good, good putters, bag and my fav ball.
  12. which ones spin less?
  13. Hey all, I was wondering what's the difference between the high quality balls, ProV1 vs ProV1x B330 vs B330-S Tour ix vs tour56 (are these even the right 2?) TP red vs TP black Z-Urc vs Z-Urs is it the spin off the driver? distance? flight height? spin on wedges?
  14. I personally would love to try the x-18's or x-20's from cally's.. but my knockoffs will do. As for a brands that I'm less inclined to buy: jack nicklaus golden bear, adams
  15. There is a great golf course in Redmond (30 minutes away when not in traffic) called Trilogy Golf Club at Redmond Ridge. It's not that difficult( I play from the whites so what do I know), view is great, about 60-80$. It's well kept up and I love playing with my friend (he works there). Tee times are 10 minutes a part so they don't pack the course.
  16. Top Flite Gamer The distance on it is pretty good, the bite is damn amazing for a 20$ ball. Look at the golf magazine that did ball test, They gave it a gold.
  17. Buy my parents a house in Bear Creek neighborhood so I have membership there. Buy membership at Sahalee, my own house and a porsche carrera 4s. Help out all family members and their debt. Make sure everyone in the family can go to college. Invest 15 million.
  18. SEC is too tough. Ohio State will get stomped by USC at the beginning of the season. They better not make it this next year or I will be pissed. USC vs SEC school with one loss.
  19. favorite club: TaylorMade R7 CGB 3 iron. It's used on 14 tees. Dream club: Set of Callaway X-20s.
  20. I am most comfortable with my sand wedge right now but I just bought a new one today because it felt amazing when I hit it. Plus, you can't go wrong for 30$
  21. I consider my set up pretty normal. Only one hybrid and it is a Nike CPR 2 (19*) My longest club is a TaylorMade R7 CGB 3-iron, the rest of my clubs are a different set. I never have owned a wood over 3, I only use my irons when I play and it will probably stay that way until my two lessons.
