  1. was he the guy with the raspy, harsh voice?
  2. the hill golfer - 1 everyone else - 0
  3. Is he the guy with the raspy, harsh, voice?
  4. I imagine Phil can shape shots, but it's less risky to swing normally.
  5. 92 on a new course. . A couple quads, nice drives though, upwards of 300 +
  6. She's a sixteen year old girl. . . that's how they act lo l. I don't believe she is necessarily stupid although she's not the most eloquent kid at that age. Maybe that's what people expect if you're playing with the adults. You know? I think her 'golf maturity' is far above average for her age, while the rest may just be average. People develop in different speeds as well, and she may be nervous 'on the inside' which influences her to say things that she wouldn't if she were more comfortable. Not that she says things terribly stupid - just not that sharp. Being infront of a camera changes people, some more than others, and in different ways. I think it's very possible, as others have said, that she hasn't fully grown into her popularity. Or maybe she's just a bimbo. A hot one. :p And Chambo that was hilarious. "But I'm only 17!" Pure gold.
  7. I like him as well. I'm thinking he has a personality type that might not be understood as well as some other ones might be. . . you know what I mean? Maybe a slight lacking of natural charisma, or even 'aggressiveness', sets up against the more arrogant types so they go against him. Not to mention his calibre is above most. Then again, how can I say for sure. The above could account for 90% of the reason he's not liked by some people, or 20%, or 0%. Would have to see him in person. Really nice story, I actually enjoy reading it.
  8. It's that bad?
  9. Hey, welcome. By the way, Roloson's injury was Bergeron's fault, and Laroque -- along with his limited intelligence -- should have been suspended for his dick-headed cheap-shot.
  10. How did this rivalry start? Aside from them being a step ahead of the game I have the impression it started with something. . ?
  11. 39 i think i'm coming over the top but just keeping the club face closed because I'm pulling a lot of my shots. . tight short game though and decent iron play
  12. I think you're forgetting most women wouldn't be able to qualify.
  13. finger i buy bulk bandaids
  14. We have girly hands (sorry sioutdoors)
  15. ouch nice I've had that a couple weeks ago
  16. I shot 77 with 31 putts and my chipping was very good. My drives were ordinary but my iron work has improved immensely from the start of the season. Some accuracy problems (alignment) with my long irons but am making good contact. Only had one double bogey, as a result of losing my drive.
  17. your duck sound was a little vague for my tastes, but as you're new I'll let it slide
  18. I think it's lame. I wasn't aware that wedges had advanced a whole lot.
  19. i think it's just better to get a full fitting
  20. nvm this is just another reason why i think driving is even more important to work on then putting
  21. 84 poor driving.. going to make my swing upright so it looks like this..
  22. I like to play by my own rules. It would be accurate to say I'm a sort of golf rebel. And the ladies LOVE it.
  23. What do your guys shoot?
  24. There's that Golflinks club but I'm not sure how it works
  25. I think 'mental game' is a very loose term when used in golf. It seems to have a few different meanings / implications for different people, which is because of varying beliefs "under" their idea of what mental game means - it's abstracted, not a "base". As such I think it's confusing to people at first because it takes experience before you can appreciate the value of that symbol (all meanings are valuable to your golf game, and there are often a few within the one). I think it would be beneficial to come to a sort of agreement and break down the whole into pieces so it's simpler to really direct your focus into impoving every aspect of your game.. With that rambling aside the swing is mostly a mental aspect of your game. With that said I'd think it's more important to "remember your new swing" instead of "(not/) forgetting your old one". What I try and do is go to the range and find my improved swing with a lot of swing thoughts. Once I find it I take away my swing thoughts at a natural pace until it's a feeling and not a thought. Then repetition with the eventual feel of the successful swing as long as possible. This will build your muscle memory to your new swing. Then take the feeling with you. I know people say have a swing thought but I try not to (not easy and takes a lot of that practice) and focus on the feel.. it's easier to get into the "zone" that way and you won't mess up your rhythm and tempo by over-thinking.. to me one "swing thought" is enough to do that. I currently still have swing thoughts which I try to put into motion in my pre-shot routine so I don't have to worry about it much during the actual swing.. Then your old problems will creep back.. kindof like subconsious emotional scars from your golf childhood This is why I like how Erik knows all his fallback flaws
