Hey all.. I really like these irons - the look awesome at address, the feel great, and i find them not too difficult to hit. I'm interested to see what the irons look like after some heavy use. Do the faces brown? Do you get the bag chatter than you see in mizuno, titleist, and similar forged clubs? (these clubs are cast, correct?) I'm not in real need of irons right now, it's just something i'm curious about. I feel like these irons could last a long time and may be my next purchase as far as irons go. Thanks

i think they are very underrated irons. even though i dont use them, i have hit my friends set a lot and they feel just as nice (or maybe better) than my titleists. he has j33cbs. they arent tough to hit and they are also workable. give them a shot, i dont think you will be disapointed

Lost PW. Can a Gap wedge replace it?
kevidinho replied to XMScott's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
there is a place to buy a single g5 pw...but like you said it is pricey ironfinders.com - i would give you a direct link to the g5 page but the site doesnt work that way. it's not hard to find anyway i would reccomend replacing the pw one way or another. going from a 45ish degree 9 iron to a 52 is just too big of a gap IMO. you could also buy a 48 degree vokey...they come in 48 in SM and 200 series -
sometimes when i search around on ebay for miura irons (not really for the intent of buying..just browsing) and taylormade rac cb irons come up. at first i thought someone was just tagging but it has happened too many times that i know it isnt tagging. can anyone clarify what the relationship to these irons and miura is? thanks --kevin

if my brother did that to my driver, i would expect him to offer to replace it. i dont know whether or not i would have him though. if he didnt bring it up to me, i probably just wouldnt make a big deal out of it (as long as there is no real performance issue). just because thats the kind of person i am

Ping Voyage - Help me decide...
kevidinho replied to elchene's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
you should definitely get one. ping makes awesome bags that looks great and perform well. they are light, durable, and well designed. plus, they look awesome when they are designed for teams. my friend has his signature in his and it looks sweet. i would highly recommend getting one i think its cool to use a bag from your alma mater, but i have a lot of school spirit so i might just be crazy -

In the market for new grips, any ideas?
kevidinho replied to acj990's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
these winn grips http://www.golfsmith.com/products/57...ther_Grip-_Tan beware! they will wear very quickly. if you play 3 rounds and practice 2 or 3 times per week, your grips will only last one summer. they feel so soft though. i think they are wroth it despite the durablity -
first - miura blades close seconds - 690.mb, 735.cm, mp 67, 33, 32, 37, j33 blades

Need some help with finishing up my bag...
kevidinho replied to Koontzy's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I'd recommend getting a 52* wedge and either a 5 wood/2 iron (hybrid) or a 60 degree wedge. I would for sure get the 52 gap wedge and choose from the other two by which one you need more. It's different for everyone. -
Cobra Camouflage Stand Bag
kevidinho replied to walfice's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
i think it looks nice, but i wouldnt use it. i think it would be cool if a former soldier used it though ping also made a camo bag -
it came down to titeist and mizuno for me, but it was the drivers that i prefer that made the difference i almost through tm in there, but they dont have a forged iron that is somewhere near a true blade and a cb.

Good player's irons(sorry for another thread)
kevidinho replied to Titleist Man's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i would go with the ap2s. with my experience with them, i thought the felt just as good as (or better than) blades while also being more forgiving. they also allowed for enough workability. the only thing i like more about blades (or in this case the blended set) is that they look nicer. i really appreciate the look of a classic iron. but i also agree with the poster that said the mid irons in the zb's looked ugly, so i guess i would be impartial to either. ap2s will cost you about an extra 100-200, but if money isnt an issue i would go for it -
you can get a 906f4 off ebay for really good prices
