  1. I shot an 83 today - one of my better rounds of the year. Missed a couple 3-4 footers for par, but besides that all was well!
  2. Welcome! We all hope that this forum will help you out a lot. Keep on practicing!
  3. Congrats mellojoe! Keep up the great work and the birdies will follow.
  4. I shot 84 today. Not too bad, three unnecessary doubles and a missed eagle putt I should have made - but a good day :)
  5. Ouch! Hard to imagine what that feels like. Not that I really want to know mind you!
  6. Not often you see that in Atlantic Canada to say the least - however it seems rare enough you have 2 or 3 golfers that actually play golf at a driving range around here. That is of course unless the range is located on the golf course. Never a bad thing though, its always good to have more people to play rounds with.
  7. Sad that another person so talented leaves us too soon. He succeeded in pretty much every thing that he took on. RIP Bernie, you will be missed.
  8. In a way, yes and no. My degree has taught me very well how to approach problems and come up with solutions. Your learning in whatever field you work in will continue for the duration of your career, one of the aspects that keeps engineering jobs challenging. Don't worry about becoming perfectly prepared for whatever job you plan on getting - Companies that hire new engineers (or most new hires in general) recognize that everyone needs some time to learn their job. Co-op jobs in the industry also are a great help too.
  9. Grade B commonly has scuff marks (not major ones) and the logos may be slightly worn. Here is knet's description of Grade B: I believe that this is very representative of what the Grade B is - I have some here in my hands and they compare very well with that statement. If these prices are too high, knetgolf commonly has promotions on certain brands of balls. Currently there is 15% off all ProV1 styles, 30% off Maxfli and 20% off Distance Balls. These types of sales usually allow anyone to find a ball that fits them for the right price. Hope that helps, if you have any other questions, let me know.
  10. I shot an 87 today - it certainly wasn't the best of days. My pitching just wasn't where it needed to be today. Hopefully it will improve tomorrow. :)
  11. I am a mechanical engineer and I work at a Petroleum refinery. My roles is a Maintenance, Reliability & Project Engineer for a Processing Area of the refinery. I enjoy my job greatly, while it has its stressful moments, it challenges me more and more everyday. Working in the golf industry I don't imagine would be for me, but that's why everyone is different. Good luck in the remainder of your studies both of you!
  12. I started playing when I was about 15 (when I got a job). Once I began university I started playing 1-2 rounds per week - club memberships last 3 years (I'm 22 currently). Best decision I have ever made playing this game.
  13. It is $1.27/Litre here in New Brunswick, Canada - approx. $4.75/US gallon
  14. I am listening to the sounds of the Indians vs. Jays on TV.
  15. I would have to think that you and I are the only ones from NB on here. But two people isn't bad for small New Brunswick!
