From 210 to 65 or so I want to know the exact yardage to the pin or target. I'll walk off from sprinkler heads or cart path indicators. I carry a GPS on my bag. If I'm inside 60 or so, it's completely feel - I'll pace it off - and look at landing spots, but the shot itself - carry distance, trajectory, spin - is all FEEL based - Not a mentallly calculated "OK, hit this ball 43 yards ..."

Hit two chips ... etc. You will learn how to PLAY GOLF if you start challenging yourself more than normal. I start out by fully stretching. Then I hit four balls - bang, bang, bang, bang - with a three iron. I do this to get the bad shots out early - and expecting them to be bad, it makes it psychologically beneficial to me. I rarely pure a 3 iron regardless, so how bad is it to hit a few bad three irons to start the warm up? The first few swings are always less than grooved - so I'd rather blast away with three iron vs a wedge - which I expect to hit VERY well every time. Then I go into my real practice - a few punch draws for crisp "flying wedge" contact, then I hit a VERY pronounced hook, a cut/slice, a subtle draw, a subtle cut, and straight shots until I feel like my shot cones are manageable. Then it's target oriented, real-life, course simulated shots. Rinse and repeat.

Aaron Baddeley is better that Hogan, now. I freaking HOPE so. Without sarcasm tags is often hard to tell.

THANKS everyone - for the replies. I played Harbour Town and the Ocean Course. I shot 82 from the back tees at HT - I was 9 over after 9 holes, and shot 37 on the back. The Ocean Course was easier. I shot 78.
