  1. Yes, its best to turn the sound off and just watch and learn.
  2. Anyone bought the Swingshot product and can comment on its performance?
  3. 125fps+ will give pretty smooth slow motion. Exposure is also a factor. Higher exposure will lead to more blur.
  4. About time!
  5. Chipping is hard enough with two hands! Which arm does he use?
  6. Watching your own swing on video is invaluable. What you think you are doing and what you are actually doing can be very different.
  7. I always try and visualise a long putt by first imagining the pace to get it 1/3 way to the hole, then 2/3, then all the way. That way I've appreciated the distance and the borrows.
  8. You can't learn a table or ratios like that and hope to put it into practice on the course. You have to hit 1000s of chips on the practice area with every club from LW to 6 iron and actually learn how the ball flies and rolls. Then you will be able to see the shot in front of you instead of trying to do math!
  9. When there is no hazard in front and plenty of green to work with, the bump and run is the percentage shot. Much less chance of fluffing it than with a wedge. Takes the wind out of the equation as well.
  10. Go and do something else. You've been one of the best players in the history of the game. Go find a new challenge in something completely different.
  11. I am waiting for the app that will watch your shot and guide you to the spot in the rough where your ball ended up. Now that's an app I would pay good money for!
  12. Basically it takes a relatively long time to lock onto 3 or 4 satellites, plus the mapping app is processor hungry. There is a good explanation here: http://www.itworld.com/article/2833266/mobile/why-gps-eats-so-much-battery-power--explained-by-a-google-engineer.html
  13. Attaining smooth slow motion will depend on the capability of the camera, not the capability of the app. The iPhone 5s is capable of 120fps which will give smooth slow motion at around 9 times slower than normal speed and the iPhone 6 at up to 240fps or 18 times slower than normal speed. If you are on a budget, the Sony PS3 camera is capable of 125fps. This app will allow you to capture and analyze with the Sony PS3 on a Windows PC or laptop: www.heath-studios.com/slowmotion
