  1. You could tell her that if she gets you a decent set, they will last longer and you won't have to keep buying a new cheap set of irons. That being said, I got a new set of x-18s for my eight grade graduation present and while they are great, I used to have more confidence in my old ping eye 2 knockoffs. SO IF YOU HAVE TRUST IN OR PLAY WELL WITH YOUR NEW IRONS NOW DON'T GET NEW ONES!!! Mark Calcavecchia has been using the same pings for ten years.
  2. Thanks I worked hard on my game and its great to finally be seeing some good scores that reflect my hard work.
  3. I played pretty well today and shot 78. I was pretty happy since there were 20 mph winds and it was 30 degrees with the wind chill.
  4. Ha now good luck with the next part, you have to break par! Again great round and congrats.
  5. It depends if it is a wet day but on an average day probably 6800 yards.
  6. I did okay in 2008. I lowered my handicap from a 30 to a 9 and it is my second full year of playing. I still would have liked to see more consistency, one day I would shoot a 75 and the next day a 92. That was really frustrating but I guess that will come as I play longer.
  7. Nice it feels great doesn't it.
  8. I do bend my knees but I kind of squat and put a lot of force on my left knee on the way back up.
  9. I'm probably gonna play baseball because I can play golf for the rest of my life.
  10. Yeah my next goal is to shoot even par for 18.
  11. Here's Mine, it also happens to be my backyard: www.brooklakecc.com/Golf.htm
  12. Anthony Kim. He puts great and has a simple, repeatable golf swing.
  13. 75, I played great until the bogey,bogey, double finish. d'oh
  14. I sure hope so.
  15. Thanks I'm still debating whether or not to try out the baseball team or play golf for the freshman high school team.
  16. I don't really get wrist pain, occasionally I get forearm pain, but the worst is my left knee. At times it hurts to stand up or walk to my ball.
  17. I probably hit the green almost (85-90%) every time but a lot of the time they aren't as close as I would like. I almost consider anything over 20 feet away as a missed green.
  18. Today I shot my best round ever. I shot 75 at Brooklake Country Club and it has a 130(I think) slope.
  19. I got my oddysey black series number 1 for 100 bucks last month because someone bought it then returned it.
  20. You may like these as well... http://www.golfsmith.com/products/LX...h_Steel_Shafts
  21. Really, I think it works great as well and I feel like I gain alot of distance and control doing so as I am making better contact more often. Now if I could only put................
  22. Congrats!!! I remember how excited I was last year when I broke 100 for the first time, be ready to improve quickly and be shooting in the 90s quickly now that you have gotten past that barrier. It feels great to go down into a different section i.e. 100, 90, 80 etc.
  23. I've got the Callaway X-18's and I would have to say that they would be better suited for a 20 handicapper and the Big Bertha's for a 25-30 handicap. However, having said that, I believe that this depends solely on your strengths and weaknesses. Personally, I would go with the X-20's, there are several reasons for this with the main one being that as a 25 handicapper, you will likely improve as you start playing more and the Big Bertha's are going to get almost detramental to your game in a way as you won't be able to tell where you are hitting the ball on the clubface and you will have trouble with learning what you have to work on.
  24. Well, he certainly made a lot of promises to the people. This should be fun to watch.
  25. I have been having that problem lately, I know what you mean, it's very frustrating... I just try to accelerate through the ball, so far it has helped.
