  2. Watson and Marino tee off 10:00AM Eastern or 3:00PM GMT.
  3. " It is the first time Woods has missed a cut since the 2006 U.S. Open at Winged Foot, where he was playing for the first time since the death of his father, Earl, in May of that year. " Source: http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/briti...ory?id=4337152
  4. Tiger Woods 8 under par.
  5. I've had worse experiences at Dick's ordering golf equipment. Ordered clubs online and they send them to the wrong address and I still had to pay for shipping when I cancelled the order. The moron should have apologised and said no charge. Also, he could have offereed to order the right grip. Hard to believe they own Golf Galaxy.
  6. The Bucks Club recently changed their name from Bucks County Country Club in Jamison PA about 40 min from Northeast Phila and 5 min from Doylestown. http://www.golfbucks.com/golf/proto/golfbucks/
  7. Totally agree. Creamer & Lorena are hotter than Gulbis. Eyes of the beholder I guess.
  8. Forged irons are beautiful. I have Wilson Pro Staffs from 1986. I like my X18s but the X20 & X22s are a bit over the top if not gaudy.
  9. Here's the ESPN updated headline & report: http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=4322699 Sorry I missed it on TV. Looks like it was an exciting finish.
  10. There's X18 and X18r. See this thread: http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23676
  11. I didn't think your comment was offensive and I was joking about Tiger being only one person.
  12. I understand that but he is still one person.
  13. Interesting stuff from Mizuno's web site: http://golf.mizunoeurope.com/forging/forgingahead.php The conventional wisdom is that there's no difference. I think forged is better so it must be psychological.
  14. Check this thread from last week: http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthr...light=recycled
  15. I guess he means the most thrilling to watch, but I don't think there is anyone around who watched Young Tom Morris in 1870. Don't understand why Woods is listed twice. by:Michael Bamberger> INSIDE GOLF Thrill List: Golf Story Highlights - Arnold Palmer surpassed the speed limit with his putting at Augusta National. - The only thing more thrilling than Tiger Woods today? Tiger Woods an an amateur. - Greg Norman's heartbreaking losses were as memorable as his spectacular wins. These lists are not mere compilations of all-time bests in their respective sports but all-time bests at quickening the pulse and evoking a visceral response from those fortunate enough to have witnessed their artistry. 10. Seve Ballesteros 9. Walter Hagen 8. Young Tom Morris 7. Greg Norman 6. Tiger Woods (professional golfer) 5. Tiger Woods (amateur golfer) 4. Laura Davies 3. John Daly 2. Mickey Wright 1. Arnold Palmer Full article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...ist/index.html
  16. The article cited that: According to a source in tournament management, a general agreement with Bivens on financial terms was reached late Wednesday. What is the process for selecting a new commissioner?
  17. Dunes Golf & Beach Club.
  18. Of course (no pun intended..ok it was intended). Paula would have to serve as a mod or administrator of the forum. On another note, I sometimes think that the LPGA tournaments are played on lessor courses.
  19. Reading in between the lines, the issue is settled. The Sand Trap should take over the LPGA with Iacas as the commissioner. Seriously, I interested in Golfgal's thoughts on the subject. I think she's a marketing / media consultant.
  20. I guess the obvious answer is more TV coverage. I don't understand why the golf channel coverage is so lacking. It seems womens tennis gets better air time both on the tennis channel and network TV.
  21. Here's a course map. http://www.uswomensopen.com/course/
  22. Tiger's win rate is about or near 30%. I'm guessing it will happen next year.
  23. Tickets can be bought at Wegmans or online. From the website: Thank you for your order. Beginning June 24, all ticket orders will be placed at Will Call. Will Call is Open July 2-5 and the week of the Championship. Please contact the Championship office at 610-814-6104 for Will Call hours and access directions. Thank you.
  24. Cadet is for chubby hands. A regular large is too tight for me so I wear a cadet large because an extra large regular is too long in the fingers.
  25. Golf Galaxy has Callaway drivers on sale for $149.
