  1. I play golf to play golf. Beer would get in the way. A cold one after is good, better if someone else has to buy.
  2. I've had my MP 52's for about a month. I am happy with everything about them. It's hard to go wrong with Mizuno equipment, and the 52's are an MP that is almost as easy to hit as MX's.
  3. 1st Rule of Golf " If you're going to miss it, miss it quick"
  4. Doesn't Muria forge irons for many customer companies to that customer's specifications? If so does it make those irons the customers or Muria's? Doesn't much matter to me, it's what the player does with those irons that counts. I don't care who made them, I just wish I could use them like Tiger does.
  5. Currently carrying a Titleist. It is sturdy, with good straps, dividers and stand. Mine is not the lightest but it carries well and has great storage.I have learned to carry what I need and leave the rest in the locker. Bags are like clubs, balls, shoes, etc. Personal taste usually determines the choice. Seems as if you are trying to decide between a number of well made bags, Pick out the features you prefer and enjoy your walk.
  6. Fitting should not be an extra. If you are buying from a retail store they should have someone on staff that can fit you or you are in the wrong store. The fitting process may not be the most in depth that money can buy and may just be hitting balls on a lie board, trying shafts of different lengths, flexes and weights and using some impact tape; just make sure it's done. Take your time and find what's right for your swing, your eye and your pocketbook. It's a decision you will live with for a long time. Don't rush it, enjoy the search and the process. You will be happy you did it right every time you tee it up.
  7. I think the MP 57's might punish you a little more that is necessary as you try to improve your game. Golf is suposed to be fun at least some of the time. If you are looking for a little more forgiveness in a forged iron try the MP 52's. I have played Mizuno irons for years and recently switched to them with no regrets. What ever you get though, make sure that someone that knows what they are doing fits them to you. The proper fit is most no matter which club you end up buying.
  8. Played in a New Years tournament and broke out the last of my Pro V stash even though I generally use NXT Tour balls in the winter. I remembered why I like the Pro V's above all else with the first shot; It's the way they feel on the club face. The fact that they are great on and around the green doesn't hurt either.
  9. Don't know what causes you to hit shots fat or thin but with me the upper part of my body is not as still as it should be. My thought is to keep my head still. May not actually be my head moving but that is what it feels like to me. Other than that it is not completing my turn on the takeaway.
  10. In North Carolina we just keep playing. Layer up the clothes, take a hand warmer if necessary, and except on weekends, put your bag on your shoulder and walk. Your handicap will generally go up a shot or two but who cares, you are still playing.
  11. I prefer the feel of the ProV1 to any other ball I play, but agree that the price is a bit excessive. The NXT tour doesn't have the feel and isn't quite as good around the greens but it is definitely easier on the bank account, and possibly a bit longer this time of the year for me. . I'll still play ProV's in the summer and when it really counts but when the leaves are falling I'll save my money.
  12. The new MIzuno MP 52 looks great and they feel sooo good when you hit them.
  13. Does it matter? Both were/are great golfers and good for the game we all love to hate.
  14. My home courses Web Site is found at www.pineislandcc.com
  15. I'm a Commercial Real Estate Broker, and work most days from an office at home.
