Is There a Way to Change "Rank" Text?

Hey there, I am checking back in on the forums for the first time in a long time and I'm wondering if there is a way to change the text that goes along with my "Rank"? Currently, mine reads Damn Proud ΦΣK.

I'm trying to just keep it on plane right now, I have no feel of where the club is at the top of my swing right now so I'll try and start thinking about it. Watching these videos now have really started helping me out feel what's going on up there. thanks for the tip I haven't gotten the chance to get to the range with finals coming up. but when I get back home I'm going to take better quality videos of down the line and side, I'll slow one down as well.

Hahaha, that guy's face is priceless

Wow, great picture thanks. It looks like I should be trying to keep my right arm straighter also on the initial take back? I guess that will come with me not turning my forearm as much at first.

Today I asked my friend to video tape my swing. I have always had a bad habit of bringing my club inside on my upswing and then hooking it up and around on my downswing. I don't have any past videos of it although hopefully that explains it enough. I've been playing since i was like 10 years old so I guess it's just something I have obviously been able to get my own adaptation to and play decent enough with. I tried to make my swing plane more even and here are two videos of this. I'm tryin'. Sorry I couldn't get a front view, but this is a start... Personally I like the second swing more, it looks better to me and has a more consistent plane. Also, I feel like I don't keep my arms even with my body on these swings. I don't know, first time I've ever seen my swing(s) This first video I feel as if I bring the club back in a more straight manner, at I think so. This second video I come in more but I feel as if I am more on a plane. Both of these swings are very new to me so any criticism of whichever one you feel is better will be appreciated. Thanks!

Worked out back today. I don't do anything complicated: Dumbbell rows 4s 10r/15r/10r Seated rows 3s 12r Wide lat pulldown 4s 10r Dumbbell shrugs 4s 10r Hyperextensions (lower back and obliques) 3s 20r/16r/14r I try and do the Ab Ripper X exercises after every workout, almost threw up lol. Ate a slice of cookie cake before I went to the gym, didn't go over too well.

I'd get a nice new putter, maybe the new Scotty Cameron that came out. New TaylorMade R11s driver TaylorMade RBZ rescue And some set of nice forged irons

Shot a 100 at some random course in SC today. Three putted almost every hole, played horrible...

Might as well go out on a limb and root for someone I like and have a tiny chance to win! 1st: Ian Poulter 274 2nd: Bubba Watson 275 3rd: Tiger Woods 277

Hey there, I'm from Long Island as well. Where on the island do you live? You should go play a round at one of the cheap courses there by yourself and see how it goes, 9 holes goes for about $7-9 at some places that I went to

Anyone carry a 4 wood in the bag?
Jayel replied to Birdman2's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I carry a 4 wood in my bag at all times. On my vacation in Hilton Head I was doing horrible with my driver since I hadn't played in a long time so I switched to my 4 wood for tee shots. It has never done me wrong and every shot went dead straight. I know it's just a mental thing for me, but I love mine -

Congrats on the win, this is a late post but I remember from my years on the high school team don't worry about your opponent. Especially if he is doing really well, their consistent 3's and 4's can easily turn into 8's and 7's. I learned this lesson best by myself as I always joked around with my teammate whenever we played and we'd do great and then just start really ruining our games. But all in all, relax and have a good time... Just not too much fun like I did ha. You seem like you have been doing fine though! keep it up

I started and finished posting on this forum when I was in high school. I stopped playing golf for a year or two and just got back into it at college. I had my handicap listed at something ridiculous like 3.7 or something haha. My best was probably only 9 or 10ish back when I played varsity during high school, oh well. I just got back into golf when I went to Hilton Head with some friends for spring break. Some great courses up there! I wasn't too happy with how I played, my shots were straight, left, right and everywhere else. On my first time playing in about a year and a half I shot a 95, the second day I shot an 88 and on the last day I shot a 94 ha. I guess I will get my swing and smarts back eventually. I played a course named Old South over there, one of the nicest courses I have played before. Maybe some of y'all have played it before. Anyway, I'm glad to be back and I can't wait to waste tons of money on this great sport again I'm lookin' to build up my set some more!

How I re-built my swing and gained accuracy.
Jayel replied to jonanthans's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Always seemed to be a good way to be accurate. I'm definitely going to try it out a little bit next time I'm at the range. -
instance where i was almost hit::: me and my uncle were playing bethpage and i was in the cart about 3 feet in front of his ball to the right. he smacks it off the toe of the club and it flies at the cart, hits off of the window, hits off of our clubs, then lands in the carts basket. (little bit of revenge ) instance where i witnessed it::: i was on a par five with my uncle (same one who almost hit me) and i readied up to the ball with my 4 wood. he was about 150 yards ahead of me looking for his ball to the right. i hit my shot and its a good shot, just a little lower then normal. there was a set of trees to the right and it barely hit one and rocketed off to the right. it rattled off of the top of my uncle's cart while he was driving. both close calls

yeah this same thing happened to me when i started playing baseball again. it's times like this where you really take your swing for granted. although i really practiced hard on getting back my fundamentals. watching the pro's, and taping my own swing so i could compare myself. it's like having your own pro teach you lessons. you would be surprised how much it could help you. after years of playing golf, i never knew what my swing looked like until i saw a video of it. i'm not sure if you have, but it really helped me visualize things much better. in example; being able to see what i'm doing wrong and fix it... by myself. of course it will take a while, but that's how i fixed my swing. hopefully this helps a little bit

lol, no i do play at that level! just kidding, yeah; sorry for the mistype

well as for my driver, i have always wanted to try a weight system type one. that and i like the more classic "rounded" shape drivers over the square ones. and of course i liked the way i hit it when i tried it. as for my irons, i got them about a year ago when i was a decent golfer (+15ish) and they were marked for game improvement. i liked them then, and i still like them now, they are great clubs. my big bertha was a kind of lucky guess. it was between that and the g10, and i couldn't find the difference between the two asides the composite on big bertha. so i just went with the big bertha because it was cheaper, and seemed logical. the touredge wood was a gift, i generally don't even have it in my bag. my wedge was a gift as well, i always wanted the club and finally got it. my gyro putter i tried out at a local store for about 30 minutes. that and a few other ones. i really got attuned to it, and have stuck with it. (well kind of, there is another putter i use occasionally )
