  1. Well almost a year ago my uncle gave me a set of clubs which I still use. Included with the clubs was a Ping Anser 3. i played with it for a few months and putted fine with it, but figured I might be able to putt better with a mallet. To make a long story short my putting became horrible once I got out on the course with a mallet and I gave up and went back to my Anser 3. Anyone else gone through this at all? I feel like I can control the speed and direction of the ball better with the blade Vs. a mallet. Is this common for a lot of people?
  2. I was able to go to a golf event a few weeks ago to demo all the current and newer clubs coming out and I was amazed with the new nike drivers. I was hitting them so well, I'm sold on them now, but to be quite honest I didn't hit the square head as well as the round sq dymo driver. I would also suggest trying the sq dymo as well and see which works well for you.
  3. That's awesome! I've lived in Florida my whole life and to this day I have never have seen one.
  4. Oh yeah, I've played there once a few years ago, I was just wondering because there are not very many 9 hole courses here in Orlando.
  5. Hey Jay, what 9 hole course do you play at?
  6. I must agree with "TCCcaddie" Grand Cypress is an amazing course, but expensive.Your best bet is OCN, also you may want to checkout Eagle Creek as well.
  7. I'm not looking to make money off of what has already been created, I know that there is a patent on it already. I was just trying to show that with the right resourses and a little bit of time you can save yourself some money and that's what I was doing.
  8. Ok here you go. As you can see the lines have faded bad, that's why I need a smaller bit so I can get the grooves to paint them and they won't fade. Also it's much easier to draw them out in autocad to they are spaced equally and proportioned correctly. Hope this works.
  9. Well My dad owns a commerical cabinetry shop and I programmed it in autocad onto the CNC. We had some white 1/8" plastic left over from a job so I made one. I still have some bugs to get worked out because the smallest bit we have is an 1/8" bit and I need a 1/16" to make the lines in between the 3 main lines on the tool. So since I didn't have the bit (and I've been meaning to buy one). I decided to carefully take a marker and mark the lines with a straightedge and then I sprayed it with clearcoat so the marks would not come off. Well I used it a couple rounds and it worked great, but now the marks started dissappering on me. So when i get the chance to buy the new bit I can make the lines and then paint it so they will stay more visible. I'll post a pic of what it looks like later.
  10. Well I thought it is a great idea, but I didn't want to spend the money on it so I made one out of 1/8" plastic and it actually works quite well. Saved quite a bit of money.
  11. Wow, I didn't realize this happens to that many people. It always happens to me at least 2-3 times a round. I guess I just have bad eyes or something. Everytime I lose my ball one of my friends usually finds it before I do.
  12. I played yesterday and it was a bit warm, about 80.
  13. Anyone have any experience with the Golf Launchpad Tour? I'm interested in getting one for Christmas, but am I wasting my time? I have a ps3 and I'm getting the new tiger wood 09 for Christmas as well, but is this more of a toy, or is it actually somewhat accurate. I know it's nothing compared to the more expensive simulators, but I was just curious to see what kind of feedback I would get from you guys. Thanks
  14. I have plastic Tubes as well and the only problem I have come across is at the end of the plastic tube leaves a ring around the graphite shaft where they make contact, it's nothing major in my case, but as a recommendation put a piece of tape around the shaft where the plastic and the graphite make contact.
  15. I was reading on other sites people actually got it for $99 as well. I wish I could get a hold of the Washington post from the 16th and I would go get one of those as well. I'm not sure if that printed ad would work.
  16. I am a Student and I work at a Commercial Cabinet Shop Part Time. I do CNC Programing, Estimating and Auto Cad Drawings.
  17. ks8829, that's some good advise. I already keep my front arm straight on my upswing, but I need to work on my hip movement and I need to try dipping my back shoulder. I've noticed in the last few months I've been trying to change up my swing a little bit and i think this should help. Thanks.
  18. Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this forum and Only been playing golf for about 6 months. It's been so addicting. Anyways I live In Orlando as well. Check out Winter Pines golf Course. It's only $20 on the weekends and The course is very well taken care of. I've played at Eastwood a bunch of times. I love it there, my only complaint is the greens are poor.
  19. I wear a glove when I play, but whenever I practice I never wear one. The funny thing is I don't think it makes a difference whether I wear one or not.
