  1. MP-57's!!! Best Irons ever. Played MP-33's before getting the 57's. Very forgiving but still workable. The best part is you don't have to compromise the "butter" feel.
  2. I agree 100%. I tried all three. all great clubs. the MP 57's might not be first in the category of workability and forgiveness but it comes in first by far in "FEEL." and I think that's very important too.
  3. I really can't say that these are my average. basically what club I choose for certain distances. Driver: 260 3 wood: 240 off tee only -10 off grass 21* hybrid:225 off tee only -10 off grass 3:225 (but I never hit it. I just have it my bag for nice trick shots out of the trees) 4:215 5:200 6:185 7:170 8:155 9:140 PW:125 56*:110 60*:85
  4. Project X 6.0. I bought my new set with the px shafts because I heard so many good things. I'm definitely hitting more consistent iron shots, that's for sure. I haven't hit a push shot to the right since changing to this set.(knock on wood) But I can't say that it's ONLY because of the shaft.
  5. I buy new things in stores but buy used ones online. it's just too dang scary buying new clubs on online places like ebay.
  6. So, I decided not to go with the 909's and re-shaft my existing 907 D2 9.5*. I really like the 907 D2 head but was never happy with my shaft. Average SS over 20 swings: 104 Current average drive: 240 ball flight is very high. I draw the ball. Problems I have with the stock Aldila vs stiff shaft: 1. ball flight is too dang high. 2. feels like the shaft is too lose.(I tried x-stiff, too stiff) 3. hook it bad when I hit it bad. (I think I'm over swinging when I do this.) Any suggestions and price? Thanks guys!!!
  7. yes, I guess preference in "feel" is important too but I was NOT talking about feel but what flex should fit his SS. Based on my experience of course. I still think he should try the 6.0's if he hits his 6 iron anywhere close to 180~185. I don't think you should underestimate math and science in golf. BTW, I noticed you have S300's in your bag?
  8. Sorry, I attached a jpeg but it won't upload. if this won't work, just goto the link. scroll all the way to the bottom and look for "Fitting Chart" http://www.royalprecision.com/precis..._projectx.html
  9. I think JYB is correct. you should chose your shaft based on the manufacturer's data. Project X fitting chart is attached. Rebby, you should be in PX 6.0 or 6.5. If you are used to hitting s300, my guess is you're not going to like the 5.5's. I was also contemplating the two shafts and because of so many threads and fitters claiming s300 is equivalent to PX 5.5's that I almost ordered it. I have average SS of 88 with the 6i and I was hitting moon shots with the 5.5 and hated the PX. And the frustrating thing is nobody has 6.0's to demo! I was going to stick with the S300 and found the attached chart at Project X website. I just went straight to Roger Dunn and ordered it with Project X 6.0. I figured if I don't like it, i can just return it and get the S300 shafted clubs. (I like Roger Dunn for this reason. full refund within 90 days) No "What if's" know what I mean? well, I took it out and to my surprise, I loved the shafts. I never hit my irons so straight and the low-penetrating ball flight was exactly what I was looking for. Please don't take my input the wrong way...I just want you to try the 6.0's. You'll like it!!!
  10. First, I'm sticking with this driver! I'm in the same boat, meaning I really don't like my aldila shaft. my swing speed with the driver is 105 and my ball flight is very high with the 9.5. Is this shaft right for me you think? thanks.
  11. I have a 21* to replace the 3 iron but I keep the iron in the bag for that exact shot. I love a good 3 iron punch shot. Good job Dub.
  12. I carry one. 21*. I use it to hit 220~230 yards from the fairway and 200 from the rough.
  13. I had a similar experience...Few Months ago I went to Roger Dunn for a Mizuno MP 57 fitting. During the mizuno fitting, my average swing speed was 86 and I normally hit the 6 iron 185 yards. (During this time, I was playing mp-33 with DG-R300 Sensicore.) Based on the data Roger Dunn recommended 5.5 Project X. Then I went to the Project X website and saw the below chart(attached) and I thought: "Hey, Roger Dunn was wrong." Without thinking twice I ordered the clubs with the 6.0's. The ball flight was lower, which I liked, but I lost 15 yards! I immediately felt I made the wrong choice. I thought about returning it and getting the 5.5 but decided to keep it. I did hit it more consistent. I guess all is good except I can't explain the loss of yardage. Sorry st0wgolf08, I was trying to help but I think I ended up asking for help...
  14. Yeah! I finally pulled the trigger on a new Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2!!! This time, I'm sure! No more 3-putts!!!
  15. I usually have about 2 dozen. I like it when I unzip pocket full of Pro V1's
