I was warming up for my round at our local par3 course a couple weeks ago. A kids tournament had just finished up so a bunch of them were still out on the putting and chipping greens messing around. These kids had to have been 7-10 years old tops and they were chipping like pros. I couldn't believe how good the kids were. A little later, I heard the awards ceremony from by the pro shop. The winner shot a 3 under for 18 holes Couldn't believe it.

Working at a fundraising golf tournament about three years back, two guys in the same four-some hit aces right after each other on the same hole. It was pretty amazing. It was a contest hole too, so both of them ending up getting new Dell computers.

Costco will usually have some nice Nike or adidas polo shirts, as well as PGA brand polos for pretty good prices.

They are some great classy looking irons. What did you pay for them if you don't mind me asking.

I picked up a brand new set of Apex Edge CFT irons with the 3 & 4 hybrid for around $185 on ebay auction back in November from rockbottomgolf. I'm pretty sure they still have them.

I'm tempted to sell mine since I could use the extra cash. I'm probably not good enough to even really notice the extra distance. My longest so far with it was 260 yards and I know I don't really swing all that hard. I'd probably be just as good with any other driver.

Is the club really worth that much though?

It sold for $406 ... WTF. I bought this same driver on ebay about 2 years back for $65. When I bought it, I honestly had no clue about the technology or it being illegal (not that I am going to be playing any tournaments). What do you guys know about this driver? Is it really worth that much?

He ended up picking a King Cobra driver for $50. I don't remember the model, but we played a round that afternoon and he loved it. Thanks for all the suggestions.

My father in law needs a new driver bad. My wife and I are planning on getting him a $60 gift card for his bday to Roger Dunn Golf Shop down here in SoCal so he can picked up a good used one. For around $60, what is a good driver that he and I should be on the look out for when we go to redeem the card. Thanks.

I post on slickdeals a lot and saw it the day the deal was posted. If I would have had the extra cash to burn I would have ordered some stuff for myself and father in law. I was wondering how it turned out. Congrats to those that got in on the deal. A $99 burner driver is awesome, even rockbottom golf is selling them for $250 I believe.

I got it at Roger Dunn Golf Shop and I am pretty sure I have 60 days.

I ended up getting a lightly used Cleveland Classic putter for $59.99. It just felt and looked nice. I had my $50 gift card and a $10 off $50+ coupon so I walked out with the putter for $3.18. It was a tossup between that and a new Pinseeker putter. Thanks for the advice guys.

I am looking to upgrade my putter from a cheap Top Flite putter I bought off ebay for $15 a few years back when I first started playing. I have a $50 gift card to my local shop so I was thinking of picking up a used putter with it. I am also willing to throw in an extra $10-20 if I have to. What are some decent used putters in that range I should keep my eyes open for. Obviously I will try them out in the shop before I buy it. Thanks in advance.

I am still waiting for their arrival to play them. I can't wait. I am upgrading from a used set of Tommy Armour 845s Silver Scot irons I bought a couple years ago from dallasgolf.com
