the ones i bought in the sealed white box were new balls that havent been hit. not sure about yours.
-
as far as i know, they're just regular pro v1's with minor imperfections such as paint, lettering, etc. i bought a dozen from dicks last year, coupldnt tell a difference between them and the regular prov1's.

i played the isi-k versions for many many years (they're made from a different metal and are slightly larger than the becu versions) they're not near as forgiving as your g-10's and they hurt like heck on miss-hits, but they're very good clubs overall... i honestly wouldnt recommend playing them over your g10's, but if you like em that much then go for it.

anybody have any idea?? thoughts?? theories??
-
u sure they're not i-15's?? i concur on everybody's suggestion on lessons... or a video camera at the very least... i play g5's now because i dont have time to practice anymore with a high overtime job and a 5 month old baby... they're very forgiving and high launching but... i much prefer playing with my hogans. they may not be as forgiving, but the game was always more enjoyable when i had to hit a quality shot every time

Cut Down Wedges and Putters for Juniors
-BAMA- replied to socalsharky's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i grew up playing a partial set of cut down spaulding executives, and a tom watson 56* i had no trouble with them. -
does having a small dent on the crown of my driver affect the performance?? i'm asking because i played last week and teed the ball up too high and hit it fat. first time ive ever done that ( and yes i'm embarrassed)... i didnt try to hit it again during the round so i'm not sure if its actually damaged or not

i dont care how many clubs they carry.
-
ive always played a 4 wood because i used to carry a 2 iron... ive since dropped the 2 iron in favor of a 50* gw... i carried a callaway steelhead 4 wood for about 8 years.. it was the absolute best club ive ever owned... ever... i replaced it with a ping rapture 17* last christmas because the steelhead was just getting so old and worn out... i miss the steelhead every now and then when i'm faced with a shot that i wouldnt dare try with the rapture

i believe in God wholeheartedly. i wouldnt label myself a christain though, even though i grew up a baptist... the older and more knowlegable i get.. the more i realize the bible can't possibly be the whole truth. i always got the feeling christianity is founded on man's own personal interpretations of the bible.. and the fact there's so many denominations within christianity really bothers me... after all.. if theres one god, one bible, why not one church?? i'm not a hypocrite. i dont try to be somebody i'm not. i dont judge people or look down on them because they believe or think differently than me.. and i always try to stay on the level :)

no rules have been broken. i dont think phil, daly, mahan, or anybody else thats using the eye2 wedges is doing anything wront, morally or phiysically... like others have said before.. everybody can buy the eye2 wedges if they choose to.. golf is very boring to watch now without the spin. i truly believe it will do more harm for the tour than good....

its just the acronym WTF thats funny.....

i find it hard to believe you can achieve proper distance gaps with the same length shaft in all your irons... but i've never tried these irons or any other set with equal-lengthed shafts so i can't really make fun of this company...

how many of you are doing what you want to be?
-BAMA- replied to Laxplayer201092's topic in The Grill Room
to answer your question.... yes i am doing what i love... i went to college right after high school. flunked 2 classes my first semester because i spent more time chasing women and drinking beer than i did studying... almost lost my scholarship, then straightened up the next semester and made straight a's and one b untill i graduated... got an internship during my 2nd year at college.. which turned into a co-op program... which turned into a permanet job that i have today once i got my degree. i wouldnt trade my journey for anything else in this world. i had alot of fun... alot of hard times.. a few near suicide days after some calculus tests.. and met my wife and married her in the process... and 5 months ago i had a sweet little baby girl... college was single handedly the greatest 4 years of my life in many different ways... sometimes i wish i was one of those 7th year seniors.... i'm just 25 now.. i love my life the way it is.. my only regret is i should have bought a different house. this one sucks -
although my tacoma ia a 01 model.. i swear its the toughest vehicle out there. i've taken it to summertown and grayrock off road parks and the local stomping grounds out here and she's taken a licking and kept on ticking... my wife has an 08 camry sport and we've put almost 40k miles on it since we bought it a little over a year and half ago... never had a problem with the pedals sticking. we did get a recall note in the mail and we will fix it once they figure out what the prioblem is... but other than that non-existing problem her car has been nothing but solid. only problem ive found with her car is it has some weird annoying rattle coming from behind the dash, but we dont notice it with the radio on. i wouldnt heistate buying another toyota vehicle... i'm sure the recall is just a minor problem that will be sorted out soon. nobody makes a perfect car. i'm most likely just gonna get another 4runner. i cant find anything else as reliable or as capable as them. thanks for the input everybody.. i really appreciate it. oh yeah.. about the landcruiser... way out of my price range, especially for what i plan to use it for, but they're very nice trucks regardless...
-
i did a SAS on my 2nd gen 4 runner and it was a pain in the hind end.... its easier when they come from the factory set up for a solid front axle when you're using it as a DD/weekend warrior... i agree with you on the old man emu springs and shocks.. i had some on my old TJ with a long arm conversion and i swear it rode better than a caddilac, even with 36" swamper tsl's... sent you a pm.. i want to see pics of your dad's defender, they're the sexiest vehicle ever made...
-
my hand size is similar to yours.. i use standard grips with 2 laps of tape. feels and fits perfectly...

my avatar represents anything and everything that comes out of my mouth....

appreciate it everybody... the rovers have been scratched off my list. after reading this thread i did some research on them and i have found nothing but negative reviews about the defenders... only positive reviews i found were related to their off road capability... which is nice, i wish other manufacturers still made suv's with solid axles front and rear... i'll most likely get a 4runner or another jeep, appreciate the comments, they were VERY VERY helpful.

my taco is a 2001 ext cab v6 5 speed 4x4 with trd package and e-locker in the rear... are they seriously that bad?? what year did ford take them over?? i'm a very mechanical person, ive built severay jeeps from the ground up and i can fix most of the issues with the rovers, but i didnt realize they were that big of a money pit. i'm looking at the 2003-04 models, they can be had for less than 9k, thats what's making me do some research on them cause that just seems way too cheap for a vehicle like this... what kind of issues has your uncle had with them?? i'm guessing head gaskets, tcase, and hubs.... your dad is a lucky sumbish.. i would LOVE to have a defender 90.... appreciate it...
-
has anybody here ever owned one?? i'm thinking about buying a used one (pre 2003 model) because i cant fit a baby carseat t in my tacoma.. if you have had one or know someone who has... how do they stack up as far as reliability goes?? are they fairly off-road capable??
-
are the 7.0's quite a bit stiffer than the 6.0's?? what exactly do the numbers mean?? i always assumed 5.0's were regular flex.. 5.5's in between reg and stiff, 6.0's stiff, and the 7.0's xtra stiff...(yeah i know one must never assume, ive just never played rifle shafts before and never did much research on them) i ask because i finally found my dream irons and they have the 7.0 shafts in them... not sure if they'd be too stiff for me or not
-
i agree.... this board needs to be more facebook-like...
-
anybody here ever played these irons?? if so, how did you like them?? saw some at a local store for 80 bucks (3-pw) and i was tempted to try them out...

Modified Scotty Cameron Detour putter
-BAMA- replied to Cut Back....'s topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
honestly, the modified putter looks better than it did stock. if it works.. keep using it, dont worry about what other people say. the monetary value of the putter only comes into play if you plan on selling it... i rarely ever sell my old clubs, i usually keep them in the garage or give them away so i dont care what anything's worth after i buy it...
