  1. It's called tough love. Relax
  2. For a 16 index Hacker, you really got worked up. My guess you would of choked regardless and your inability to regain your composure shows how much of a Chopper you really are. Good players play through those bumps and find ways to score.
  3. Eight of us were able to book 5 nights accomidations with 6 days of unlimited golf w/cart in a prestine mountain course resort for $470/person in early May. They have been offering this early season deal for a couple years now. Kokanee Springs Golf Resort
  4. I've played Tuscany out in henderson and Aliante in north part of vegas. Both great courses and you can usually find last minute deals, especially for early twilight.

  6. golfballplanet.com. CAll them...they have always given me a better deal over the phone than their posted website.
  7. I've been playing with the Mp-60's this past year. I switched from the TM R7's because I wanted a club that I could move the ball around a little more. They are not a true blade in the traditional sense but they do have a thin top line and the heads are smaller than your average cavity back shovels. The muscle back does provided a little bit of forgivness but you should have a pretty consistant grooved swing if you want to play these. But , who am I. Take them out for a demo and see for yourself. The biggest thing, don't just buy off the shelf. Get fitted for them. The fitting alone will make all the difference not the club.
  8. I've taken a essons here and there every time I lose a swing groove and basically what I expect is the instructor to pick up within a few swings what I'm doing wrong. I have been seeing a great local guy and he stands back watches two swings without me hitting a ball and knows i'm either pulling shots, slicing, hitting thin, etc. He's able to give me some great drills to get the feeling I should be having during a swing, always tells me to losen my grip (he can pick that up by just seeing the tension in my arms) and sends me on my way and I'm usually good to go for another 40 rounds or so.
  9. I practice all winter long, two or three times a week. Nothing to do but hit balls in a cold Canadian winter. During the summer I'll play 3-4 times a week and hit the range for 1/2 before the roun. I go and put in a good practice session once every two weeks or so. Days when the round has gone and there is no recovery possible, I'll start experimenting/practicing with shots.
  10. I bought 12 dozen mint pro-v1 for $150. Hacks like me can play tour balls and not worry about draining a $5 ball in the drink or slicing one deep in the woods.
  11. I hope you are right....I ordered it along with his short game bible off of Amazon. Picked up both for 40 bucks
  12. The purpose of the question was to invoke a discussion, to hear everyone's views and the angle they approach it from. Your inability to coherently articulate your point of view does not make the question poorly written or presented. I invite yourself to post a thread that generates this much interest and discussion and not bash the author.
  13. I guess I should of added a third catagory....Decent. That's where I'd like to think I fall
  14. At what point does someone graduate from being a hacker to a player? 1. Is it all relative? Being able to beat everyone close to you (friends/family)? 2. State of mind? Your approach to the game? 3. Nuts and bolts.....a certain handicap? Whats the magic number?
  15. I assume you are playing with hickory shafts? Technology in equipment progresses the game.
  16. I just ordered Dave Pelz's Putting Bible and Short Game Bible off of Amazon. I picked up both new for $40.
  17. Mike Weir....because he's a Canadian and a leftie like myself
  18. What I hate is courses that require you to ride but restrict the carts to cart paths only. I think you walk twice as much from the cart to your ball than you would if you walked the course to begin with,
  19. I'm hoping to get either a GPS unit or a Rangefinder. I'm really in a toss-up between the two.
