  1. this is true. but if you tend to hit a slice or a hook and stiff shaft will help fix that. the stiff shaft will prevent the wipping action of the club face. you might wanna go back and grab a 6 iron of both the burners and the r7's and have them in both stiff and reg. swing normally with the stiff shaft and see how you do. And then pick up the regular shafted clubs and take a normal swing but slow it down just a bit and see how you do. You might find that if you swing just a little bit slower you will hit the ball straighter, have a nicer feel, and have a better control over what the ball does. good luck
  2. you might wanna try getting or wearing contacts and buy a pair of gunnar optiks. ww.gunnars.com I used to wear sunglasses and I now I have these. They are meant for for people who work on computer a lot to reduce the glare and brightness of the screen. But one day I got curious and went out to play with them and they are absolutely the best eyeware on the course that I have tried.
  3. The only that I can think of is the HT gives you a much more loft ball flight. So you could get more spin on the ball if you are at that stage. Also I think the burners are a little more forgiving than the zings are. So i would say do it if you have trouble getting the ball up in the air or if you need a little more club face support. All in all both are nice clubs. I would go to the shop and ask one of the workers if he could tape one up for you so you could try it out. I know for a fact that Dicks will do that for you. Good luck.
  4. a box of nike tour D's and a box of bridgestone e6's. And a two taylormade burner gloves. all for free. haha i work there and we needed to clear inventory for the new shipments coming in.
  5. I agree. 399 for the tour burner is A LOT. Dont get me wrong its a great club but at the pro shop i work at we have it on sale for 139.99. Definitely consider looking at Dick's or another golf store or something because 399 to too high. Now is it the r7 425?
  6. I usually clean off any dirt or grass after every shot. And then after the round Ill make sure to clean them well. I work at a pro shop at one of the local country clubs and its amazing how many of the members but the nicest clubs but refuse to clean them, and by refuse to clean them im talking like cleaned less than once a month. yeah it gets bad
  7. pittsburgh national course isnt to bad
  8. I have an iphone and i love it. I use it for everything. i have the 8gb one and i have just over 1000 songs and about 40 different applications and 200 pictures, that should give you an idea of how much you can hold. Oh and i still have 1.7gb to use.
  9. I would agree with the rest. Try a different shaft and you might find what you are looking for.
  10. Top Flite XL 2000. Just horribly bad.
  11. I tee it up to where maybe a 1/4 of the ball is showing over the top of the driver. Wind behind me i tee it up higher to get the ball going with the wind. Some head wind its teed lower to power through it.
  12. ohh and i use my 56* to really control the ball
  13. 60* if i need the ball to make a dead stop and my pw or 54* if i need a little roll.
  14. It could all be in your head. I know i was the same thing i would be fine on the range and when i would get on the course with some friends i would fall apart. I found my self getting nervous so before i hit the ball when i with my friends i would say just relax. Then when i would hit it i would be fine just like i was on the range.
  15. I think you would benefit the most with lessons from your local PGA Pro. in my opinion.
