Callaway ft-9, 9.5
Sir Hack a-lot replied to Sir Hack a-lot's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
OK so suggestions? Maybe the new Taylor made R9 or the Ping G15? I just want something forgiving off of the tee with a deeper face than the Wilson Smooth....Im around a 10-12 handicap and my driver swing speed is around 118-122. -
Hit it at the PGA stupid store today and really liked it...I'm looking for a new driver (because I love spending money needlessly and I blame the 8 lost balls off of the tee in my last round off of my stupid driver...Cant be my swing of course ). The point is this...Has anyone hit this driver? What I'm looking for is forgiveness, and a deeper face. I hit the ADAMS and the King Cobra while I was there, but they didnt quite hold up as good as the Callaway.

I was reading online that TIGER uses an S300 to an S400 in his sand wedge although he plays X100's in all of the rest of his Irons. I just ordered my new Irons with X100's (due to my swing/ball speed). I also ordered my sand wedge in the X100....Is that too much for a sand wedge especially considering Tiger hits an S300 in his? Pros and Cons? Any experiences with either for all of you "big hitters" out there?

Process of upgrading drivers - need advice
Sir Hack a-lot replied to PhilsRHman's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Actually the ADAMS driver to my understanding had excellent reviews from Golf Digest as a Gold Winner in the driver category....I currently have the Wilson smooth and I too want a new driver (for absolutely no good reason other than I like new golf clubs all the time...lol). -
You know I have often wondered the same thing...hopefully someone "chimes" in on that for you. (and for me).

Which irons next for shot shaping?
Sir Hack a-lot replied to mike68's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I would absolutely recomend the MP57's. They are a great club, however Mizuno is phasing them out very soon to my understanding. You can pick up great deals off of ebay for a set. I play the MP57 3,4,5. Very soft feel, yet you can work the ball however you want! That being said, I was at the Frys open here in Scottsdale, AZ following Rocco Mediate. I was looking in Rocco's bag and he had a set of X-22's (Yes the cavity backs!). He had hit a poor tee-ball and found himself behind a bush on a dog leg left. He hit a beautiful draw right on the green (Of course) with the X-22...So I guess it can be done relatively easy with the X-22 as well =). -
+1, exactly.

First of all lets get something strait...If you are talking about the Mizuno MP-57, it is not a "blade." I would classify the 57's as a forged cavity back styled club. If you want a "blade" get the new MP68's....they are the sweetest feeling club you have ever hit, guaranteed.

How much for Project X Rifle 6.0's?
Sir Hack a-lot replied to Sir Hack a-lot's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Thank you for taking the time to explain to me the difference between the two. I think I'm going to roll with the project X's. I'm still debating on the 6.0's or 6.5's. I know I should probably get the 6.5's with my SS, but I think slowing my swing down a little could help... My SS on my driver is 120-125 (Ya I know it's different for a 5-6 Iron obviously...). your right though. If I end up getting the 6.0's, and they are to soft it will cost at least $300 to switch everything to the 6.5's. I also heard though you can make a 6.0 a 6.2 or something like that if you take it to a club fitter? I'm going to get the MP57's 4-6, and the MP67's 7-P. -
How good do you need to be to play on PGA tour?

Excellent advice.....chipping and putting can save you BIG. -
Hitting demo clubs with hopes to make a purchase of just lusting??
Sir Hack a-lot replied to Uthinkso's topic in Golf Talk
I can deff. see your point here. I go to the PGA superstore here in AZ and spend a TON of money in there, but there are a few guys that work with me and every time I go into the store they drop what they are doing to help me. Yes I could go on e-bay and order clubs for hundreds cheaper, but I stick with them because they provide the customer service that I could never get from E-bay. I think some of the smaller stores, the guys work off of commission (which is horrible in my opinion). -
How much for Project X Rifle 6.0's?
Sir Hack a-lot replied to Sir Hack a-lot's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I hit my 6 iron 190-200. I had the 6.5's, but I want to try the 6.0's and smooth out my swing a little.... BGPRO- So your saying I'm better off with the Dynamic Golds? x100's rather than the 6.0's? -
I want to buy a set of MP 57's off of e-bay. It is EXTREMELY rare to see a set on e-bay that is set up with the Project X Rifle 6.0's (standard lie/loft). I've just come to the conclusion that I have to buy the senior shaft of the S300 (HAHA ) that comes in them already and then just take them to the local PGA RIP-OFF store and switch them out.........Any thoughts? How much will this cost me per club to switch out and buy the Project X Rfile 6.0's? Or should I just order the clubs with the 6.0's with them already in them......If I go to the store it would be 899 plus whatever per club up charge, compared to possibly buying a set off of e-bay for 400 then switching the shafts out.......thoughts? So my question is how much are the project x shafts, plus labor?

Agh! Thin, Fat, Thin, Fat
Sir Hack a-lot replied to Baraethon's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Exactly. Usually hitting fat is a result of not moving your hips or belt line in a circular motion (or around your spine). What happens is people (me included) usually sway my hips and it gets me in trouble. -
IMO titleist and mizuno's are the way to go as far as blades go.....e-bay is the best option for purchasing......just my .02 ;)

Why do "Tour" clubs have open faces?

Any benefit to playing a round with a single club?
Sir Hack a-lot replied to Alex1's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I always wanted to try playing a round with a single iron, unfortunately its really expensive to just play a round of golf with one club if you know what I mean. -
I bought the Baffler and the guys at the store said it was a good club, and I hit it well inside where the simulator is.....When I got it out on the course I ended up with a sickness called the "shanks." Everyone always says, "Hybrids are so easy to hit!! You must have one." Hybrids just arent for me, I'll stick to a 5-wood.

Best irons for a 10 handicap
Sir Hack a-lot replied to ace2894's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Well how about the Mizuno MP 57's? I'm going to by a set this week. I love my Titleist ZM blades, but the MP 57's feel JUST as good when hit like a blade. Not to mention that the MP 57's are a ball strikers club. -
ya not really........they just got beat by my team.....the CARDS!

Well being an Officer in Arizona.......it is in most agencies policies to do blood now (more accurate). Even if you refuse to give blood we can just get a search warrant and get it any way. If you refuse your license will be suspended for at least a year, and if you consent its only 3 months......BTW, DUI in AZ is not plead down to reckless (Extremely rare).....he will probably just get the less of the DUI statute. He looked HAMMER'D though from the pics...lol. If you ever get pulled over for a DUI, I wouldnt submit to FST's, but submit to the blood test (and your attorney will probably tell you that too.....)
