  1. What is your favourite time to tee off? today I teed off at 7.56 AM and finished at 11.25, earliest ive ever teed off opinions please
  2. I shot a 79 today!, not bad for a 21 handicap! My friend was walking the course with me because he plays off 5, but plays to a 2 , and he was giving me tips basically i am buzzing, I BROKE 90! and more importantly, I BROKE 80!
  3. Hi all I shot 91 today in 20ish mph wind :) I also got my first ever EAGLE! WOOOT! It was the Par 5 second hole, I holed out with a half-swung sand wedge from around 40 yards! I judged the distance and wind perfectly lol! Shot of my life! Had too many Doubles today unfortunately, going again tomorrow :D
  4. I am only 16 and don't have shedloads of money but I have hit a Pro V1X and a Pro V1 and prefer the V1x it is about 20 yards longer with a driver for me. I like Taylormade Burner balls which i will bring into play when its not so cold and wet.

    New Grooves

Thanks for the comment about the irons Dub, I LOVE THEM! I am getting confident with my 6 , 7 and 8 irons now. Hit the irons well today... With my 6 iron i love hitting punched shots, all I do is move the ball back and have a shorter follow through. I would say that the 6 was going 160 today, hopefully around 170 in summer. What do you think of the MD Golf Superstrong wedges? I am thinking of getting 2 of them as they are around £50 each... Think they got 162 points of of 200 in golf montlhy, second only to the Vokey
  6. many people think they hit it much further than they actually do of course. I know (or at least I think I do) That my longest drive is just under 290 yards. The hole is a Par 4 310 yards You had to use the winter mat on this hole as it was wet, which is about 20 yards foward of the stone that says 310 yards. I smashed the heck outta the ball and it landed n the fringe of the green pin high I dont think I could ever hit 300 in a while lol

    New Grooves

sorry to be a n00b, i know theres new groove rules but that are they?
  8. I lost my sunglasses last year when it from sunny to rain when I changed into my rain gear. :( Must have dropped them and didnt notice until after the round. they were only cheap anyway
  9. Hi guys and gals. Just wondering,... what clubs in your bag do you use the most and what club do you use the least amount of times in a round? I will say the club I use most is probably my 7 iron, without doubt the one I don't use much, IF AT ALL is my 9 iron. I have never really needed to use it. I recently got a new set of Mizuno MX 200 irons - lovely, put the Pitching wedge spins too much when on a full shot - around 7 to 10 feet I would think, this means I will have to end up using the 9 iron instead! lol
  10. My Rossa Lambeau is 34" Ive hears that many people on tour use lengths of 32" and even 31" !
  11. in my bag and why: burner driver 9.5 stiff - Becasue Taylormade are the no.1 driver on tour (as far as i know) and i really like the feel of it. slazenger fairway wood - to try fairway woods out basically MX200 irons - forged head, soft feel and forgiving. Best iron forgers going. taylormade rossa lambeau putter: bcuz it looks great and feels great, simple
  12. Furyk I know has used a Superquad driver. Not sure about now though. Does he play Srixon Irons?
  13. Hi I have heard that Rife are a good company. I think Justin Rose uses or has used a Rife before. (not sure)
  14. Hi all, my first post here. I always thought that the Mizuno logo looked like a bird. I got a set of MX 200 irons yesterday and used them on the range today, simply great. I got a glove to go with it and noticed it had the 'M' logo rather than the runbird like my previous glove. Perhaps they like showing their more classic stuff.
