I have heard nothing but good things about them. How do you like your VR blades? I keep hearing from friends of mine that work at pro shops everyone that's coming in looking for blades walk out with the VR's. They also told me that the VR splitbacks are being favored over the Mizuno MP-52's and 57's. I hear the feel blows Mizuno and Titleist out of the water. I need to hit them to believe it.
I know people who have done this. It just doesn't make sense to me because the feel and weight will be different through your entire bag. To me that would hurt consistency.
I have a couple friends who work at golf stores and all of them have been telling me that recently everyone who comes in wanting blades hit's Mizuno's, Titleist's, and every other blade in the store but 9 out of 10 walk out with the new Nike VR blades. I haven't hit them yet but I plan on it. I hear that there feel is simply amazing and Nike stepped up their game with these irons. I will give you my review of them after this weekend.
OK, I have been playing with my Answer2 for years. I want to try a new putter but I need your opinions. The reason I need your opinions on how different putters feel is because I am left handed and every single golf store in the US decides left handed golfers are red headed step children. Anyway I am looking at 3 different putters, going on looks alone. I just want you to tell me how they feel and or how they compared to other or previous putters you have used.
PS. Please don't tell me to go hit them for myself because stores just don't stock left handed putters and will not order one just so I can test it out. Also please don't tell me to get a Scotty. I have bought 2 of them and both ended up on ebay a month later.
The 3 I am interested in are:
Rife Aussie Tour Edition.
Nike Unitized Tiempo.
Bettinardi C-03.
Thank you for the time responding to my post
Yea, they felt better to me but that's just personnel opinion. Remember that feeling you had when you first made flush contact with a golf club. After hitting the VR's, that's what I felt. The clubs were just so smooth I can't stop thinking about them.
Went in to golf galaxy wanting to buy the AP2's or MP-57's and walked out with the Nike VR Splitbacks. I don't remember Nike's feeling that good. I guess they stepped there game up.
I think I'm going to go with a Rangefinder with pinseeker technology. I understand the line of sight thing and when you really think about it, if your behind a ton of trees and are dealing with a dog leg, why the hell do you need the distance to the green? Are you going to pop the ball over the trees or are you going to draw the hell out of the ball to get to the green? Probably not. I would much rather have the distance to the last tree on the dog leg so I know how much I need to carry the dog leg.
I'm trying to figure out which one I want to invest in. I know there are pro's and cons with both. I play about 3 times a week by myself and at least once a week in a charity best ball tournament with the same 4 guys. We are always arguing about how much yardage we have left and I think something like a GPS or Rangefinder would help us out big time.
