What do you think of this billboard? Offensive or clever?
Danny Noonan replied to shades9323's topic in The Grill Room
I don't find it funny at all. I think its retarded. I also do not find it offensive. If you find it offensive, then you are probably the kind of person that ought to be thrown into the sea chained to an anchor. -
The SKS was a freebie from elsewhere - I'd never buy one.

This sort of reminds me of my epic thread wherein I asked The Sand Trap community about whether anyone around here had nailed the beer cart girl.

With January just about over, how is your 2011 shaping up to be? I think people are sick and tired of the negativity that this depression has brought us, and that things may be looking to get good again. Am I wrong? Are any of you noticing your business improving, your job prospects / pay / career getting any better? I sure hope so, and hope I'm not the only one who thinks that 2011 is going to rock.

The tail end of 2010 rocked for me and my businesses, and 2011 is looking awesome. No complaints here!

I can't really tell if you are trying to be funny, or this is just a stupid comment. I'll err on the safe side, and go to bed thinking it is just a stupid comment.

I hold a CCW in 4 states. I own three Benelli M4 shotguns, a Benelli M2 shotgun, a Benelli M1 shotgun, a loaded M1A, a Socom II, a Socom 16, a Sig 556, two MSAR Steyr Aug style rifles, an SKS, a Remington 870 with Vang Comp barrel, a Rock River Arms AR, a few Kimber pistols, a few HK pistols, a few GLOCK pistols, a S&W; TRR7 hand cannon revolver...that's off the top of my head. I'm ready for the end, but I've not fired off one round in over a year. Does that count?

Was just making sure it was clear. -

Perhaps you can point me out to the part where I was whining. Oh, you can't. Noted. -

This is true. I'm sorry I created the thread. Had played golf that day and there was a hot beer cart girl. The guys I was with started spinning their dreams, desires, and stories. After a scotch or two the other night when I posted that thread, seemed like it could be an amusing topic. In bad taste, though, in retrospect, and I'm sorry to Eric for having posted it. -
Telling Your Friends You Dont Want Them In Your Foursome......
Danny Noonan replied to andymane's topic in Golf Talk
I just tell them to "be the ball." If they aren't being the ball, I tell them that, too. -
Anyone here done it? I'm not talking about the fact that you date the beer cart girl. I'm talking, she rides up, you turn on the charm, and sometime at a later date, you have sex with the beer cart girl. Does it happen? Share your story. I've not had sex with the beer cart girl. But back in my pool playing days, I've had sex with girls that were working as servers and bringing me beers. Kind of the same thing. But nowhere near as cool.

The big thing for me is I need it to look nice in my backyard, not thrown together with crap materials. Some of those cheaper alternatives look like they will work, but also do not look as sturdy or nice. I live in a neighborhood where I may have trouble with an association about this, and the better and more professionally built it looks, the better chance I can get away with it. If it looks like a half-ass attempt at a golf cage, it will really attract the ire of the association. Fortunately, I live on the end next to a forest-greenbelt area with no neighbors that will really notice this, so I might just get away with it. But to be sure, I want it to look appealing and not weak/flimsy and somewhat trashy. The cheaper units just don't look as nice. Perhaps sportnetting.com has used camera tricks to make their product look more appealing, when it really is not. Before I decide, you can bet I'll be asking sportnetting for many more pics than just the one that is provided with the ad. The way I look at the price - the club I'm a member at, which is the only close driving range to my home, charges $14 for a bucket of 100 balls. After I hit 100 buckets in my net, I'll have more than paid for the net and cage. I'll still go to the driving range occasionally, but with the net/cage, I can hit in my backyard anytime all the time. I'm grilling out steaks, and I hit 20 or 30. I'm letting the dog out, I hit 10 or 20. I just see it as something I'll use a TON, and I don't mind doing it right, whatever the cost. That's just it, though. I want to do it right.

http://www.sportnetting.com/products...s_bentley.html I've read good things about sportnetting.com and I've got a side yard that is just big enough to fit this with a little room. I think the netting and cage will work well in my backyard. The only concern I have is where to put the mat. I'm afraid I'll have a lumpy mat due to the fact that I'd be placing it on grass instead of on a hard surface, such as concrete. Any tips? Thanks in advance! Oh, I turned 40 today, so please be generous with your tips / experiences with these things.

I'd prefer to blow an airhorn during his swing.

This is probably sort of a weak answer, but my favorite beer ever is Corona Light.

Word.....

Next time you play with the jerk, if ever, just drop an "owned" with a wink every so often after a hole where you had a better score. Or say it when you have teed off and you know you crushed it, but before his chance to tee off.

That guy feels inferior in some sort of way and being a prick to you is how he can elevate his status for himself in his own mind. Don't worry about it. Call up the guy who is you traded numbers with sometime and play a round. Don't bring up that situation specifically, but you can indirectly bring it up by commenting on the ace. See if your friend brings it up or says anything about the guy that was being a prick. Make sure if you ever wind up playing with that guy, and you end up playing better, you make a few smart ass comments about his playing and in front of his friends, put him back in his place. Don't be too douchey with your comments - it might backfire. Just say something like "eewww that had to hurt" or something fairly trivial. Watch his game worsen then when his panties get knotted up. He'll know who the boss is, then.
-
I'm not trying to bash the op, but certainly common sense would dictate to you the answer.
-
Congratulations, my friend. If I were with you, you'd be drinking for free all day. Awesome. Edit to add, I misread it to think you got the Ace. I've been drinking a little. I'd probably buy you a few anyway. I'm in a charitable mood today.

I'm big on Sun Mountain gear. Love it! So whats this all about? I only caught a little bit of the Ryder Cup, unfortunately, so I do not know what happened. http://www.sunmountain.com/ October 5, 2010 Sun Mountain Sports is very sorry for the way our rain suits performed at the Ryder Cup. We will apologize to Corey & Lisa Pavin and the U.S. team at our earliest opportunity, and hope they will accept our heartfelt apology for the stress this must have caused. We are evaluating what happened. Our RainFlex, introduced in 2006, has been extensively and successfully used by over 150 tour players, the 2009 Presidents Cup team, the 2007 and 2009 Walker Cup teams and thousands of PGA professionals. We believed, as Corey must have, that our RainFlex, built with quiet, stretchable, breathable fabric would be an advantage to the U.S. team. That it was not is a great disappointment. It just was not enough for the torrential rains at Celtic Manor. Sincerely, Rick Reimers Owner, Sun Mountain Sports, Inc. My apologies, if this was already posted or discussed elsewhere.
