  1. There's a big difference between spitting somewhere on the course and spitting into the cup. It was a childish act and obviously not his last.
  2. Wow you could have made some coin in Vegas with that pick. Good job!
  3. He is a class act and if he could fade the ball he'd probably have more than one major. You can bet the guys on the Champions Tour are hoping he just keeps on trying for his 20 wins on the regular tour.
  4. Sergio can blame whoever or whatever he wants but we all know it's really all about his putting.
  5. After his tee shot and second shot on the 1st playoff hole it did not look good but he hung in there for par. Good lesson to not give up and great win!
  6. Many courses will tell you to show up and they'll get you out. Usually works out to more time on the range and time to work on the short game - neither of which is a bad thing. If they put you out with a twosome or threesome you'll meet some interesting people. Most of the time that's good and almost all the time it can help you work on concentrating on your game. Cheers
  7. I agree with Bogeyhitter25 & Beachbreak - nice and crisp usually means straight and straight usually means no BIG numbers. Cheers

    Playing through??

ASAP is the best way so that a log jam doesn't form. But with that being said if groups always paced themselves to the group ahead rather than "trying" to play ahead of group behind things would go much smoother.
  9. FourPutt has got it exactly right. Wind plus super fast greens. You've got to mark it if you're going to back off. As for hovering the putter - that works but if it's not part of your routine it might be hard to start doing on that stage.
  10. Over 50 - Use a Sun Mountain push cart and love it.
  11. You've got to love Phil's short game - imagination and skill but I'd have to agree with earlier posters - flop shots and 64 degree wedges just get us mid & high handicappers in trouble. Learning to chip and pitch with consistency has to be our goal. Maybe the flair will come later. Cheers
  12. I stand behind the ball and use my club to line up between the ball and target. Pick a blade of grass, discoloration etc, on the target line and close to the ball. Then without taking my eye off that blade of grass I step into the ball and take my setup. Trust my alignment (feet, hips and shoulders). I must say that you're playing a nice track if you can't find anything to help with picking a target line. Cheers and good luck!
  13. Try to match your hand position at top of your follow through with your hand position at the top of your back swing. Good range drill/swing thought. Good Luck
