For the most part, I give away my unused clubs/bags/stuff to one of my nephews. Although, I have sold a few sets of irons and a driver or two. I like to use my local Craigslist.
That said, I still have about 30 old sticks, including my first real irons in the shed. Some stuff you just can't part with.
Here's a software package that uses your own GPS enabled Iphone or Blackberry. $35 a year with nothing else to buy.
Best part about it...You can stand on the first tee, it recognizes where you are and downloads the course!

What a time we live in!
When I used to walk and actually carry my bag, I thought the best Multi purpose (carry/cart) bag was the Callaway Terra Firma. (I think that was the name). The legs could be strapped to the bag for cart use, and the pockets were always accessible. I used it for 3 years then gave this bag to my Nephew, he's been beating it up for a season or two and it still works great.
Since I started using a push cart (now a remote controlled electric one). My bag of choice is the Bag Boy NXO-(Non revolver) with the 14 divider and the clip-loc feature. Lightweight, but very well designed.
::thinking:: Why on earth did I ever carry my bag? These carts are fantastic, even the non electric 3 wheeled push ones.....
If it's chrome finished now, you would need to remove that finish somehow. Either by a chemical dip, hand sanding, or sandblasting.
Once removed, you can speed up the "rusting" of the club by dipping the head in a saltwater brine and allowing it to sit outside for a few days.
Of course, all this assumes the clubhead is made of steel, not brass or copper.
Unless they have a liquid center from days gone by, I would say no noticeable change in the performance of the balls.
As long as they are dry, they should be fine.
I'm gonna try to get out this afternoon. I think we're a day behind you on the winds.
We snuck in 18 a few weeks ago. But February golf around here is tough to squeeze in.
On one of our annual Vegas adventures, my friend lost a wedge. We went back the next YEAR and it was sitting in the proshop.
I found a Blackberry once. I replied to a few of the latest emails explaining the situation and had the guy call me on my cell.
I've lost at least 3 puttercovers.
I play the X20 tours. I love 'em. I lost about 1/2 a club in distance vs my old X12's but picked up more accuracy and flight control.
Mine have the Rifle flighted 6.0 shafts.
We do a Myrtle trip in early March. When we get home, hopefully the courses will start opening.
It's supposed to go to the mid 50's tomorrow. That will feel tropical. I may try to sneak out! ::fingers crossed::
