  1. My local Wal-Mart had them for $5/dozen. I then proceeded to buy 10 dozen.
  2. Can you please explain your reasoning on this. I think I putt "square to square" with an Odyssey White Hot #2 blade. I was considering a mallet because I thought that might be better for my putting stroke, so I'm curious about your reasoning.
  3. I just purchased a set of G10s and like them so far. However, I demoed the AP1, the i10, Cleveland CG7, Callaway x22, and Taylormade Burner as well. Overall I liked the Titleist and both Ping clubs the best. I tried these two different days and the G10 felt much better when I "missed" them than the other two. If you don't mis-hit very often I would say try the i10 as I liked the look of the thin top line. In the end, I had to go with what felt the best. I ended up going with a 6-P and getting a couple of hybrids to fill out the set. I haven't gotten to play with them yet because I broke a toe on my left foot, and can't transfer my weight to that side, so take my opinion for what its worth.
  4. Hotty Toddy Recieved my degree from UM in 2007 Thanks for the input guys. I was thinking putter because he has a nice, new set of clubs with the exception of a putter. Maybe a rangefinder or GPS is the way to go.
  5. Ok, Guys here is the task: I have a close friend getting married this summer. Myself along with the guys attending his bachelor party would like to buy him a golf related gift as a "Congratulations". His Brother and I have discussed getting him a new putter, since his current one was around during the Nixon administration. However, I worry about that since when it comes to putters, what one person loves the next person hates. So the question, do we: A) buy him a putter and tell him to feel free to exchange it for a different model, or B) buy him some other golf related item? Suggesstions appreciated. PT
  6. The best mass produced beer is Coor's Original. Other than that I really enjoy Abita Amber (Microbrew from Abita Springs, LA) Bud American Ale Rogue Hazelnut Brown Ale Newcastle Brown Ale from a tap, the bottled version is nowhere near as good. Every now and then, I enjoy a Blue Moon or a Sam Adam's Summer Ale.
  7. In the winter when it is cold I wear the FootJoy wintersof gloves, but other than that I only wear one.
  8. Yeah, the 762s are good clubs, but they are not custom fit. A golf buddy of mine just got fit for a set of Cleveland CG Golds and I was really impressed with how much better he was hitting the ball than with his off the shelf Taylor Mades. I have it in my head that custom clubs will help me shave strokes.
  9. Thanks for the help. I'll try those out when I go to the store.
  10. Which new Ping irons? The i10s or the G10s?
  11. Hi Guys, I am in the market for new irons and any help would be greatly appreciated. Currently I am playing Titleist DCI 762's straight off the shelf. This time I'd like to be fit for a set. I like the look of the new AP 1's, but am open to suggestions of other brands/models I should try out. I don't like the idea of "game improvement irons". I would rather have a set that is forgiving, but still forces me to work on my ball striking. Any Suggestions?
  12. Mine is www.shilohridge.net
  13. I'm a young guy, but to me Jack is awesome to watch play. Tiger is great in his own respect, but Jack tops the cake.
  14. I am a Research Scientist at the National Center for Physical Acoustics.
