Yes the same type of rule applies to all USGA tourneys...at least all the entry forms I've seen. Same with your state amateur tournaments. Handicap limit to qualify for the Open is 1.4 Handicap limit to qualify for the U.S. Am is 2.4 Handicap limit to qualify for the U.S. Am Pub Links is 4.4

Correct, if you don't play to a certain standard, they will rule you ineligible to qualify. But I thought the rule was in multiple events...ie if you have a bad round or two, things happen...but if you do it qualifying for the Open and then say the U.S. Am and shoot 90s the whole way, that'll do it.

I have too many hats to choose from. Whatever will flow well with my outfit ya know.

I understand that + is better than scratch...take a look at mine, I think I would know ;) I was just asking why he thought a + would be "crazy ass" that's all...everyones got their opinion. I just look at my handicap and don't think "crazy ass", that's all :)

I'll record and watch when I get home from school Thursdays round. Fri-Sat-Sun will be interesting... I am playing in a local Masters Tournament a course set up, friday is the practice round while sat and sun are the 2 rounds we'll play. Should be interesting. I am sure we will tee off plenty early so everyone can watch.

The semi-private that I grew up with as my home course didn't care...I could/and did, show up in a t-shirt and shorts and practiced and never had a problem.

Nope, I could give a sh*t less what everyone thinks of it. But for me, its a plus in my own book.

Both FW woods and driver. I know the main shop I do my shopping at has pretty much every new club in a variety of options, from shafts to flexes. They actually stock x flex which is rare to find, 95% of shops don't stock them, just order them when a customer wants one.

I think I have the lowest launch angel in the history of golf LOL. I went and played on a custom swing monitor as I got fitted for a new 3&5 wood and hybrid, and used a 7 iron to warm up... Launch angel of 17*...7 iron should be around 21. I was loving the results though, carry of 192 yards...those steroids must be working I just thought it was interesting and thought I'd share my rare oddity.

At the shops here around me you can find it with the UST Pro Force V2, Diamana BB (the real one) as well as the normal stock shafts.

I won't be trying this year, still working on some stuff that I wanna have down in time for the U.S. Am. Attempted last year and did ok, but not nearly good enough. I got plenty of buddy's though that are attempting to qualify. I played junior golf against a couple of those who qualified for the Open last year. I am sure they'll try again this year.
