  1. I just picked up a Callaway X2Hot 19* and love it. Its the longest hybrid Ive ever played. Went to the range today and hit a bucket. Worked on my transition some but most of my practice was used to focus on my setup and 9-3 swings with my PW.
  2. Went to the range today and hit one bucket. Focused solely on A4 to A5 making nice slow swings. I didnt hit one ball at full speed.
  3. Went to the range today and hit 90 balls. Focused on my setup and posture before every swing. I also tried to make sure I had the right feeling from A4 to A5. I practiced pretty slow focusing on each individual swing. Afterward went to the putting green and practiced nothing but 5 footers. Didnt spend a ton of time here but made 10 in a row twice.
  4. Mirror work today working on my setup, posture, and ball position. Also made slow swings focusing on my swing from A4 to A5.
  5. Had a lesson today. Me and my instructor are still working on my swing from A4 to A5. We tweaked my setup a little. I was standing to close to the ball. This helped tremendously and is helping me shallow the shaft a little easier. I also was fit for the new Titleist AP1 irons today. The new Dynamic Gold AMT shaft is the real deal.
  6. Did some mirror work today. Focused on my transition piece. Putted on my catpet for a half hour focusing on my setup and alignment.
  7. Played an 18 hole scramble today at my home course. I hit the ball ok and putted maybe the best I have all year. I still feel like my transition isnt where its supposed to be. Bringing my practice from A4 to A5 to full speed is proving to be hard.
  8. Went to the range today and hit 90 or so balls. Focused on my backswing for most of the session. Im trying like hell to shorten my swing. Ive tried it all. I also made nice slow swings focusing on my position from A4 to A5.
  9. Hit balls into my net again today. Made slow backswings, paused and then went to A5 slowly, then pulled the trigger. I did this for a little over an hour. Im not ready for full speed yet but its coming along. Also worked on my putting setup and posture in my living room and rolled quite a few putts while watching tv.
  10. Hit balls into my net this morning. Working on my position from A4 to A5. Also using a mirror to see that my right arm is moving correctly in the downswing. Practiced using very slow swings. I did nothing full speed today. My right arm likes to straighten way too early and end up too far away from me. If I can get my transition to what its supposed to be and my right arm working properly I feel a big improvement is going to happen in my swing.
  11. Had a lesson this afternoon. We worked on my tansition again. Ive come so far from the inside ( sometimes with a path of 9*) for so long that the process of changing this has been rough. I feel like Ive made some progress now though. Basically my feeling is to come way over the top, almost like Tiger Woods old practice swings when he would swing way out to in. On video Im still coming from the inside but not as severely as before. It feels OTT but feel isnt real:)
  12. Did mirror work today focusing on a shorter backswing and my position from A4 to A5.
  13. Went to the range today. Continued to work on my positions from A4 to A5. Also worked on my alignment and posture before each shot.
  14. This reminded me of a buddy of mine. He was hitting real balls in his garage into a net. He was filming face on and the ball he was hitting hit the top bar of the net and came right back to his forehead. It was hilarious to watch but left a nice mark on his dome. I tried to get him to upload it to youtube:)
  15. Did mirror work today for an hour working on my positions from A4-A5. Also worked on my pitching technique with some foam balls in the living room.
  16. Thanks. Yea it helps me move the left shoulder down. My left shoulder still gets close to my chin but it doesnt feel like it does.
  17. Hit balls at the range today. Worked on my shoulder turn in the backswing and from A4 to A5. Played 3 holes afterword.
  18. After doing the above drill from mvmac with the alignment stick and driver shaft I have found a thought or feel Id like to run by you guys. Basically Im feeling as if the distance between my left shoulder and chin stays constant throughout the backswing. During mirror work this has shortened my swing considerably and has put me into a better position at the top. Im pretty flexible as is and this flat shoulder turn plauge has hurt my game for far too long. Hopefully Im on the right track here. It looks so much better. Ill have to post a couple photos of the before and after. Im still getting my hands plenty deep enough also. Any thoughts on this feel/ thought.
  19. Played 18 holes this morning at the club and shot 77. Didnt particularly hit the ball great but putted well. Did some mirror work at home working on my shoulder turn in the backswing and my position from A4 to A5.
  20. Played in an 18 hole scramble today at the club. My team finished 3rd. I hit the ball pretty well other than a couple spinny iron shots. My misses with my irons have been a balloning type flight that goes nowhere. I know its because Im flipping at impact. Did some mirror work when I got home this afternoon concentrating on my position at the top and my transition. P4 to P5 is what Im really focusing on right now.
  21. As long as Adidas keeps making golf shoes and clothes Ill be happy. I love their new Boost shoes.
  22. Had a lesson with my instructor this afternoon. We continued to work on my position at the top of the backswing and how my arms work in my transition. Im on the right path and am starting to see some results.
  23. Hit balls at the range today. Worked on my setup, alignment, and transition. I practiced using really slow swings making sure I was doing everything right with my transition.
  24. I use an 18* 5 wood and its one of my favorite clubs in the bag. For me its easier to hit than a 3 wood. I can hit it off the tee on tight driving holes and I really like it on par 5s. My distance with it is around 225 yards.
  25. I have to have a wet towel to clean my clubs. Im pretty picky about keeping my clubs clean. Regarding a PSR the only tip I would have is once you get your personal PSR down make sure to do it for every shot and dont stray from it. It can help calm your nerves and it forces you to think about the NEXT shot.
