Scotty Cameron Napa California Putter
Canuck replied to txwhitetail's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
depending on what you might want I would be very interested in it, please let me know. I have been looking for a napa for a little while. thanks. -
There is an interesting article up here that asks, who has the best come back story of the year the Habs, knocking off the best team in the NHL and the Defending Stanley Cup champs or the Flyers with their 3-0 series deficit over the Bruins? Whats your call?

How many clubs do you guys carry?
Canuck replied to JWL1957's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I carry 14 clubs with the putter. I swap the 3wood with my 19 Hybrid depending on the course or what I need. I will also swap out my 3 iron with a 64* wedge and carry extra wedges sometimes, but I usually keep the 14 clubs. -
Best looking irons? Have your say.

my vote is for the Titleist 710 MB. -
Good work on taking the lesson. I understand No.3 very well, by leaving your wrists open it cause you to push the ball or even the big old slice. Its a very common issue that I fight every now and again, but once you get in the right directions its like a light is switched on. Good luck and keep fighting. Oh ya and get the putting going.

http://www.golfdigest.com/golf-equip...alls_spinchart here is a good article on the different balls on the market and comparisons. They match up almost exactly with the ProV 1 and the Z-Start X matches closely with the Pro V1x. Definitely worth a try if you are not stuck on a ball. i tired the Z Star Tour yellow - found it to be considerably shorter than the Pro V and even the B'stone B330 RX-S

alright GO HABS!! thats a huge win, i smell upset. Caps, Pens and then Bruins in 7 and then off to the finals with the Canucks!! OH CANADA OUR HOME AND NATIVE LAND!!!!!
-
It will definitely be chicago....... Canucks are so hot and cold and I think last nights game was just a blip, but hopefully I am wrong.

the new titleist 710 CB or MB are great looking and feeling irons that i would recommend. I am considering the MB's. There are also some really nice Mizuno 67 and 68 that have a nice feel and look great. good luck. And yes you will have no issues playing blades, its all about your swing. Whether you miss hit a cavity back iron or a blade your still gonna miss the green. Just play what you like and build your confidence. I know i wouldnt play a club a hated to look down at.

Custom Order's from Scotty Cameron
Canuck replied to Canuck's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Did you guys just have your putters refinished or did you have one built custom? I am looking for at having a Napa style putter made for him with a few custom details. Im not sure if this is what they do or not, I can only seem to find info on refinishing. Thanks Well its a gift for the Groom not the Bride, my wife can take care of her lol -

Thanks Ill do a search. But if anyone has any first hand knowledge that would be great. -
Has anyone done this or have any idea how much it costs? I was think about getting one done for a friend of mine for his wedding present. Just looking for some details and first hand experience, pictures would be great as well. Thanks.

geezzz... that game last night was brutal on the Canucks part. Can you say outplayed...... I really like the Nucks but the Hawks are just clearly the better team and you can sure see how your goaltender does not need to be a 7+Mil a year player (Neimi). I sure hope they can fight back and find the strenght, because they are being overpowered, over worked, out shot, out hit and just plain shut down. And seriously can someone please run their goalie for a change, im getting tired of seeing Luongo getting a shot or a push in the net and anytime we get around their goalie we just say...oopsss, sorry, thanks for saving my weak ass shot Go Nucks!!

Can a golf ball make such a difference?
Canuck replied to andef's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Great Post Golfro, Here's my thought of golf balls, I put alot of research into the balls I play and have tested out a bunch regularly. I have played with V1's and V1x's for awhile and played with Taylormade Reds for awhile. I have gone back to V1's and I will be staying there now. When it comes to choosing the right ball for your game, I would highly recommend not to focus on drivers and long irons. I would start around the greens with putter feel and ball roll. Then I would work back to chips, pitches and bunker play and see how the ball reacts and if the ball does what you are trying to achieve. If you find the right ball around the greens and short approach shots then I would say stick with it. putting and play around the greens as well as shots from 120yrds and in are key to scoring well. Thats my opinion and i hope it helps. -
nothing wrong with grinding your wedges. I have played with wedge bounce before in the past. If you cant find a happy medium when buying a wedge then just get one with slightly more bounce and have it grinded down.

lol the Sharks have been such a joke over the last few years when it comes to the playoffs, it will be nice to see them make it to the Conference Finals. They will lose to the Canucks in the West Finals but still nice to see them get out of the first round.
-
If the PK can get its head out of its a$$ the Canucks will pretty solid. it frustrates me when you see a good team like the Preds doing well and making the playoffs only to have like 10,000 people max show up to there playoff games..... stick that team where it belongs in CANADA! you could have 5 teams in Ontario and 3 teams in BC and they would sell out every night. Bettman is a freakin joke and will ruin the NHL. Canucks over LA in 6..

it will just take some getting used to. practice practice practice is all I can say. I have been playing around with the new black series 9 odyssey as well, it doesnt have an insert but still a different feel from the my norm.

I just thought I would write a quick review from a recent putter fitting I did and give some feed back for anyone interested. Putter 1) TaylorMade Rossa Maranello TP $339 CAD -blade style putter with very nice feel and comfortable lie angle, no matter how you grip the putter. Milled grooves make for a very nice ball roll and helps to get the ball rolling on your line quickly. The fatter back of the blade putter creates a heavier but more solid feeling blade putter. The fater back allows you to control the face and stops the face from bouncing open on impact, which is a common problem with small back blade putters. Step price tag but top notch feel and very comfortable at address. I personally really liked this putter and I found it to me very reliable and I felt comfortable making putts. I have a Scotty and I found they have very similar feel and they compare extremely similar. Rating 9/10 Putter 2) Odyssey Black Series i #9 Putter $299 CAD -Also a very nice putter, with solid feel and very nice roll. The Odyssey and the TM were very similar looking and at address, however I personally found that the TM was a better fit for me personaly because I prefer the milled face rather then an insert. For people who like Odyssey putters this will be one that will make the top of your list. Rating 7/10 Putter 3) Yes Nicky Putter -Not my favorite putter. Has a classic look and harder feel but creates a nice roll for the golf ball. I didnt like the putter at address and I found miss putts didnt track as well as expected. My personal opinion is that this putter would not be a solid improvement for myself. Rating 5/10 Hopefully this sort review helps a few people. I will be back testing a few others this week and next week at a TaylorMade fitting. If there are any putters you are interested in by TM let me know and I can try them out.

If your game is comfortable hitting blades i would look into a used yet of TaylorMade 300 serious forged irons... great irons and very pure. The pings are also a nice set if you can find them.
