  1. Went and hit both the R9 460 and the Ping G15 yesterday. Bought the Ping later that night and could not be happier. Best of luck to you!
  2. Does all this mean that a 19 degree hybrid is more comparable to a 7 wood or 3 iron and not the 3 wood?
  3. Is there anything we can do to protect ourselves from counterfeits? I'm in the process of buying a scotty cameron from a private seller and want to protect myself, but have no idea how. Any tips? I buy off ebay a lot, but I can research reputation and feedback as opposed to this private sell.
  4. took out my 3 and 4 irons for a hybrid...won't ever go back unless something really freaky happens, like I transform into Tiger Woods.
  5. I have a Cleveland CG14 52* I love it.
  6. As many have stated, experiences with ebay have been good with proper research. It looks like your stuff is pretty legit. And that 90% business....yeah, that's the probably overstated.
  7. Nothing wrong with saving a few pennies brother!
  8. I use a Titleist 983K which has a 365cc head. It's a few years old, but it's awesome. My brother still uses his Titleist 975 hahahahahaha. As far as skill, unless you're in the PGA tour, golf still pretty much owns you. With all due respect (and I really mean that) I don't think better equipment is taking skill out of a game where 90% of the patrons who play it is consistently over par on just about every hole. The way I think about it is that if you think equipment takes skill out, it implies that golf with "good equipment" is made easy, but its still no where near easy and people struggle with it on a daily basis. But that's why we love the game. It's a struggle. I LOVE it!!!
  9. I agree, I do think hybrids are taking over the 7+ wood market for sure. I have a hybrid for my 3 and 4 irons and I love them...but I'm still rocking a 3 and 5 wood! It's like a perfect marriage.
  10. Wait...I don't understand. "Golf" and "free"...What? Help. Thanks for the site ;)
  11. Hybrid baby I kid...get what fits ya!
  12. You guys are much better players than I am, but I will say that I also have the 980 fairway metal and I will NOT be replacing it anytime soon. I love the way it hits and love the way it sets up behind the ball. Give me a real sense of confidence. Plus, I got it used from a Golfsmith for like $45 early last year.
  13. I got my CG14's last year. I love them! I think they're a little easier to hit than the CG12's and are a bit bigger, but still look beautiful at address and the feel...love it!
  14. Or get both, its the great American way! Some of those GPS units are getting really nice, I'll give you that. Also, you can download things onto your iphone/blackberry for little to no money but you can always tell your wife that you NEED a rangefinder and then you'll essentially have both. You probably can't go wrong with either.
  15. Rangefinder because you can use it for other stuff as well. I'm an avid hunter and sport shooter and those things are really handy. Plus, with the rangefinder, you can range things such as trees, hills, traps etc that you may be targeting that may or may not be in the GPS. This is just my opinion and hope it helps ya.
  16. I'm an 18 handicapper and I love my Cleveland CG14's I got from last year. It took a solid 3 months to get used to them and their feel, but now, its all gravy baby.
  17. I'm with this guy! Would you be trading in to get the 4 wood? If not, keep them all and take the one that fits the course, if that makes any sense...hahahaha
