Most Expensive Club In Your Bag?
st8fan19 replied to st8fan19's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
whatever you would like... it could even be one of each... i am just curious about what high end clubs people are buying right now/recently...and why they decided to buy THAT club... thanks -
Just out of curiosity what is/are the most expensive club/clubs in your bag at this point? What was it about the club that made you decide to spend the extra $???

from my experience the only thing that really happens when you are using a shaft that is too weak is that you either push the ball, fade it, or slice it. This is caused by the shaft being still extremely flexed at impact... however... a looser shaft may help you temo so if you have a tendancy to leave it right then try out a stiffer shaft... if not then i think that you should be okay... but this is without looking at your ball flight and swing... hope this helps

just this last season i changed from my ping g2i anser to the new ping UG-LE and i love it... putting was an alright part to my game and now it is one of the BEST parts... i love it

looking to buy fairway woods, what's the best?
st8fan19 replied to Rezgolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Look for tour edge's Exotics 3 Wood. These fairway woods came out last year and they are a really amazing product. Not sold everywhere but if you have a nice high end golf shop near you give them a hit... -
Nike Juice Marketing: Over the Top?
st8fan19 replied to iacas's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i think that it is a really good marketing device and if nothing else it would be a fun gift to give... -
wow, it sounds like you got a killer steal... i hope that you hit is as well as you should... it is really hard for me to buy clubs without hitting them but regardless at that price it would be worth the risk good luck with it

Regripping: Separating Double-Sided Tape
st8fan19 replied to georgep's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
when you regrip the clubs put the tape on the club and leave the backing on... then take and peel the backing off of the tape and just cut the sticky part... this is how i do it at work and i think that it is definately the best way to do it... i don't use a dispenser and it works awesome for me... hope this is the TIP you wanted -
I too don't see any reason why playing a mixed bag or not really makes any difference... Golfers should use what they are comfortable with and they should make changes accordingly... a name is just that... a name... choose the clubs in your bag based on fow well you hit them and how much you like them don't worry so much about the name that is on them

by being less geared toward player... i meant that they are a little more forgiving than the s59 and that they didn't have a blade like style to them... but thanks
-
No i am looking for the new S58 they aren't as "player" as the 59's but thanks
-
I am really interested in getting the new Ping S58 irons but the shop that i work in hasn't gotten them yet and i was wondering if anyone has hit them and what they thought of them. A comparison to another iron would also be helpful if possible.

How Much are your Balls Worth?
st8fan19 replied to iacas's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
i usually play either pro-v1, or bridgestone b330-s, or bridgestone e5. but since i work at a golf store i get them all at cost... which is really cheap... -
GPS vs Laser Rangefinder
st8fan19 replied to greenail's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
i just recently used a buddy's finder and found that it was a very useful tool during our round... i don't know if i would want to fork out a couple bills for one though.... -
i always put my cover back on... i always walk and i would really hate to get my UG-LE dinged up or even loose the cover or something like that... you can never be too careful with your clubs...
-
i only have two putters... 1. Ping G5i UG-LE 2. Ping G2i Anser
-
Etonic G-Sok they are the most comfortable and they have lasted me the longest... i have four of them though and i rotate them regularly so that might help as well...
-
i would never tell him to buy a certain shaft over the internet unless i see his ball flight with the shaft and the desired head... he mearly asked about the shafts and i told him about them... i didn't fit him over the internet...
