  1. For me its the 52 gap wegde. I can hit ti about 105 and i use it for just about anything. I use my 58 for flop shots and some sand shots but my 52 really does it all. I also think it helps that I have a lot of confidence with it and its been in my bag for 4 years now so I have gotten very used to it.
  2. Who ever put the link to Vega golf, wow what beautiful blades. I personally think that the Titleist 695mbs are the best irons I have even seen. I hope to some day own a set of blades after my AP2s. As previously stated, just about all blades are simply beautiful.
  3. I would deffinately get fitted to see what type of loft, lie you need and shaft length. Once you have that you can get what you want and what will work and later on down the road if you need a stiffer shaft or what not you can get fitted for that. I really benefitted from getting fitted before I bought my AP2's. I was playing Cobra SS-I's before and I knew they were longer but I thought the lie was standard, come to find out they were 2* upright so I learned to play upright and thats what my AP2's are now.
  4. That hat was a tad homosexual IMO. I have nothing against gay people but I wouldn't wear that.
  5. never heard of KZG but LBlack is right. Most all golf companies have good products and can be great if set up for the player correctly.
  6. the MP 57s are your best set listed IMO but the CCI forged are solid irons. Ive hit em and they are not bad at all.
  7. Its all about what you like to feel and look down at. IMO anything still takes getting used to and even after awhile you may not like the look of something but hit it good, my driver is a perfect example of an ugly ass club that I cant stand to look at but I can it better than any driver I have held in my hands.
  8. I think there would be no problems with an X flex. I would love to get fitted some day for a driver and 3 wood. Just no time or extra cash just sittin around.
  9. Sounds like what happens to me. I bought a 907 D2 and had it in the bag and couldn't hit it well. I tried to swing hard and really put it out there but thats didnt work either. Now I am back to my trusty Cobra and things are coming back around. My Cobra is ugly as sin but it works and I can put my drives out there at about 280 ( give or take 5 yards ) when my tempo is right on.
  10. The only thing I have played ping is my wedges. These things are like 3 or 4 years old and I love them. I have tried both vokeys and clevelands but nothign matches my Pings. I am not a fan of their irons but the G10 is a great driver.
  11. Don't give up on just a few stints at the range. Give yourself some real time to get used to these irons. Trust me after a few hits that are pure you will fall in love immediately.
  12. Not only did the AP2's have better look to them but they also felt better to me. The AP1's are far to bulky in my opinion. I say buy the AP2's but thats just me. I also got a great deal on mine throught the local JC so when you don't have to pay a grand for irons it makes the decision a little easier. I would also look at the Cleveland CG Golds which are the tour verision and I also like the Mizuno MP 57s and Bridgestone J36 full cavitys. All these irons have a little forgiveness but are more or a players iron.
  13. Just give it time bro. I think you should expect these kinda of results cus I did. Think of it this way, You moved from a very forgiving iron to more of a players iron. Its going to take getting used to.
  14. get a bridgestone e series ball. I have used them when im not playing a titelist. I have also used a titelist HP2 that I found at costco and walmart. It was nice and soft but had a little firmness to it. Get what you want thought because everyone has their own opinion.
  15. This exact same thing happened to me just about a year ago. I was playing Cobra ss-i irons with graphite shafts. Then I was was fitted for the exact same setup as you. I lost some good ammount of distance but I ended up gainging about 5 yards more after I played with them. I was a 12 when I got them and I thought I hit them solid but I ended getting only better. Just give them time bor cus you will find out that with time you will learn to love your ap2's.
