  1. So the ones i'm considering purchasing are: Golflogix, and Greenfinder. I've also seen Intelligolf, but i'm not really considering because it doesn't seem as good as the other two. So does anyone have either of these? and what can they tell me about them? Are there any other GPS apps I should consider as well? For clarity, I have a Verizon Blackberry Tour 9630.
  2. Have the Tour. Awesome phone, I can't go back to a non-smartphone now. I'm trying to decide between Golflogix and Greenfinder and any other GPS apps. Anyone have any input?
  3. I'm not sure. I'm looking into this too with my Blackberry Tour. Just played a round today with 2 i phone users each had a GPS app and it was just awesome! So far the ones i'm considering are Golflogix and Greenfinder, and I'm leaning a little bit more towards golflogix.
  4. does it work well? worth the cash?
  5. I second this. I've been getting lessons for a while only 30 minutes once a week and i'd say they're worth every penny! and I've seen an improvement
  6. That's golf for ya. If its any help, we've all had days like that as well. Remember though, it beats work! On a side note, how does green finder with your blackberry work? how much does it cost?
  7. What is your job and where do i sign up!?! :D
  8. How much is it? is it a free app?
  9. I wish I would have known about the Sand Trap! best resource ever :D
  10. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I wonder what people think about the Callaway FT Neutral 3 wood 15*. I just picked up a similar model to what you want (stiff shaft, $100) so I was wondering how they compare. What are you looking for specifically in a 3 wood? Both 3 woods are on Golf Digest's 2009 Hot list for fairway woods: http://www.golfdigest.com/equipment/...?currentPage=1 Ping G10: Titleist 909 F2: PS Congratulations on your graduation!
  11. I completely agree. It is one of those things, you want it decided "on the field". Just like people hate NFL overtime rules because of the unfair advantage to the team that wins the coin toss, or hatred of the BCS because it decides which teams make it to the championship game with computer statistics and voting. When it comes down to two of the sports biggest stars, one of them undoubtedly the best golfer of his generation, and the other a multiple major winner including two last year. It needs to be decided on the course, give them as much time as they need! Not to mention that there is no one behind them, there were only 3 holes to go, and they were only about 15 minutes behind schedule. TV networks regularly go beyond allotted time when broadcasting sporting events that go into overtime, pushing back scheduled programming. Why should golf be different?
  12. I have a Callaway light stand bag, its super light, comfortable, and looks great. Only problem with it is its a little cluttered when carrying 14 clubs. Theres access to 2 pouches easily while its on your back, as well as a "fluids holder" aka a little nook to put your water bottle. I find that very convenient, although I usually put my cell phone there for easy access. Theres also a little bit of netting that is easily accessible while walking next to the fluids holder and that is convenient to put a couple extra balls or something in.
  13. I agree you were definitely not a jerk. In fact, I commend you for sticking up for yourself. Not that many people would. If you let people like that keep acting that way it only reinforces their behavior. I say good for you.
  14. Ah that's crazy. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to play a course that long with no roll. I already have immense respect for all professional golfers, but I'm sure I'd have even more respect if I could play that course!
  15. So is anyone here sponsored? I know there's some low handicappers here. If you are tell us a little about it. Maybe your handicap when you got sponsored, age, resume (tournaments etc), who sponsors you, what exactly that entails (free clubs, etc), and anything else.
  16. Haha, very nice. That's a pretty long hole out! I've only holed out once from the fairway, from 88 yards away, and same scenario as you, I didn't see it go in. Once I got onto the green, there was only one ball, and then when me and my friend checked the hole, there was my ball :)
  17. I'm in the process of filling out my bag, and I was wondering which 14 clubs I should collect for my bag. So what 14 clubs do you carry?
  18. How do you like law school? How busy are you? Do you still find some time to hit the range and course?
  19. Any tips to do this? I'm looking for some tips advice or drills that cab help me make this swing change, and make it as painless as possible. For clarity, I'm talking about the swing path to impacting the ball. Thanks
  20. I hope that whatever law school I go to in 2 years has this. It sounds awesome
  21. First times the hardest :P just get it done once and its all down hill from there. It should be fine though. I'd say at least 90 percent of people I've golfed with are friendly and enjoyable to play with
  22. You should be a scratch golfer just about any time now with that fantastic training aid :)
  23. the correct response is... "gotta love it"
  24. gotta love it
  25. Tell her it will save you money because you won't donate so many golf balls back to the course!
