  1. Draw with my irons, fade with my driver.
  2. I'm back from the range and luckily it was a simple fix. Like was mentioned, I was standing simply too close to the ball and was hitting the ball with the hosel. Thank you for the time and effort! This forum is a great place to learn.
  3. Thanks a lot for these tips guys. I'm hoping it's something as simple as standing too close to the ball. I'll be back to work again tomorrow trying to get better.
  4. I started playing golf this summer, and all had been going well. I started off the summer shooting 105-110, and last round out broke 100 for the first time. I know I need to keep improving in all areas, and 3 range sessions ago everything clicked. I got rid of my slice with my driver, and I was becoming very accurate and consistent with my woods, hybrid, irons and wedges. The last 2 range sessions though I have hit a major speed bump. I am shanking close to every single ball I am hitting. It's the same shank everytime as well. It goes dead right (I'm right handed) with no height or distance. It almost feels as though I am hitting it off the hosel. I feel that my swing is the same, and when I've stopped my swing at the bottom it appears that everything is in line. Any help in solving this would be appreciated.
  5. A guy I work with has done that before! It's on a blind tee shot too and he went for the green and went in. He had no clue it went in for about 10-15 minutes. On topic though, I would much rather get a double eagle. Like people have stated, you need to make two good shots, and not just one.
  6. I'm still working on consistency and getting my swing more set. Other than that my short game, and consistent driving. My driving is almost slice-free by putting the ball a bit further back in my stance. Only problem is that I have lost a lot of distance.
  7. Yup. I just bought a new putter, but I'm craving one of these already. I'm a new golfer, but I sure do love the equipment already.
  8. When I went out to get my 3 hybrid I tried the Mizuno, Titleist, Adams, and the Taylormade. For me I just hit the Taylormade consistently, and felt great swinging it. Since I've got it I've struggled a bit with it, but am slowly getting better and more confident with it.
  9. When I went to get clubs I tried out the MX-200s, X-22s, R7s, and G10s. Just didn't like the X-22s, and while I hit the G10s well I just didn't like that they had little feedback (IMO). I really hit the MX-200s and R7s well, but my money eventually went to the MX-200s as I thought they had slightly better feel and feedback. Really though, I don't think you could wrong with any of them. I've already learned that confidence in your sticks is a huge plus so get not only what you hit well, but what you like.
  10. 0%. Yah I just can't do that... yet? Only a month or so into the game so I've got a while to go before I even think about that.
  11. I've got an Ozone and my dad has a Grom. The only difference I've noticed is the Grom has the zipperless ball pocket which is a nice feature. No complaints about either bag though. That Taylormade is a beautiful looking bag though and compliments your clubs rather nicely!
  12. So mine was supposed to be delivered today, but the delivery driver didn't make a great attempt to knock/ring as I was close to the door and never heard a peep. Guess I'll be waiting until tomorrow.
  13. That's great news as mine is going to be delivered tomorrow or Thursday.
  14. I recently hit the R7s and thought they were a great club. Even though they were too short for me, I was consistently hitting the ball well. I ended up getting Mizuno MX-200s though because I had a bit better feel out of them.
  15. Yup, this is what they do at the golf course I work at.
