  1. I see now. OK. Just like in the picture below...
  2. Ahhh, I see now Eric. Thanks for the pics. I think my arm position is fine. It's my hand position. From the practice session I had today and looking at the pics you just showed I see that I roll my wrist over and that takes the club head way on to inside and face way open. If I "think" to keep the right wrist over my left, it will put it in the correct position. It may also help to bring the shoulder down more. Another thing that I noticed, and not sure if it's the problem or not, but I notice about 3/4 way into the back swing, my left knee moves inward like it's collapsing inside. Watching S&T; DVD, I don't remember Mike's knee coming in. What do you think? As for deep hands, I think I got that down since the first video. I will try to get another video soon. Thanks for the suggestion kfowler. I think it's great, accept PGA Superstore is right around the corner from me and I go there almost every day to practice with the video setup they have.
  3. Hey FHopper, Not sure how far Hays, KS is from you but there is an indoor simulators set up to actually play 18 holes or evaluate your swing at Precision Valley Golf Center in Hays, KS. Here is their site: https://www.ebusbuilder.com/secure/e...DocumentID=155
  4. UPDATE: Swing is getting better. Will post some videos soon. One question. Eric, the problem you mentioned above, I just can not fix. Or maybe I just don't know how to fix. I have been at the indoor range with 300fps cameras almost everyday trying to work on this and it is not happening. Every time pre-take away I think about this and then go to video and my clubhead is still behind my rear end. Are there any drill you can suggest to fix this?
  5. Hi all, I am looking at getting a new putter and tried Ping i-Series 1/2 Moon at the store and love it. I even won the putting contest at the store with it. So I am looking to get it but wanted to get some opinions. What do you all think of this putter? Also, how do I know what setup I need to get?
  6. I think it is. Looks like it on the second video.
  7. Not sure where this needed to go, but we are in need of a forth person to play with us at Lanier Golf Club, in Cumming, GA this Sunday 3rd January at 9:50. Got a special rate of $35. Let me know ASAP.
  8. Not sure why would anyone call the niblick a limiting club when it can replace 3 clubs in your bag. You just have to learn to use it. Once you get a hang of it, it's actually very versatile club.
  9. I have the niblick in my bag and I absolutely love it. Mainly I use it around the green for short chips. But the club is very versatile. You can use as chipper, short and long distance, and even as a PW. It with the grooves, you can really get a good spin on the ball. I have even used it in the sand when it was too soft. I love the club despite some calling it a gimmicky club.
  10. I think I understand. What you mean is at address, turn the hips to where they should be at the back swing and then do the actual swing with hips already turned???... I assume once I actually to the back swing, then do the rest as normal, slide hips forward and all? Correct?
  11. Thanks Nickynoodles. I see what you mean with the hips. But I don't suffer with distance in my irons. I do suffer in distance with driver. My irons go about 9i-140, 7i-170,3i-210. I think that’s ok. Driver, I just cannot get over the 240 mark. I will try more hip turn today. I am afraid if I turn my hips more I will have the disconnect on the takeaway where the club is parallel to ground. I think it will move to far back again and not straight back from the target line.
  12. WOW Eric, you are genius. I went to the range right after reading the replies. Fixed the problem on the takeaway and everything felt so much nicer and smoother. Probably about 75% of the shots after making the change were right on with slight push draw. One thing I don't understand is, came you elaborate on this statement Eric? and Also, any comments on my cousins swing?
  13. Hi all, My cousin has been practicing S&T; for about 2 weeks as I have and would love to hear some feedback on the swing.
  14. Thanks guys. Point taken on the take away. I do see that I take the club head on the inside too early. Thanks iacas. I will consetrate on the hands being behind the shoulder on the top of the back swing. Any other problem you see? Or is that really the most important? I think I also have a problem after impact to turn my hands in too early and don't have that streight line towards the target. I know I need to do it, but just can't seem to execute it.
  15. Hi guys, I have been practicing S&T; for about 2 weeks now on my own. Have not gotten DVD's and book yet. It is on my list next. Just been practicing what I found on this forum and YouTube. Please let me know your thoughts.
  16. U talking about the Callaway UPro?
  17. A little drill that makes me think of my grip and hand/wrist position is, after you make your grip, take the thumb and the index finger and open them up like you are making an imaginary gun. You know, thumb up and index finger pointing forward. Then swing like that. That will make you feel what it comfortable for you to control the club. I saw this on the Golf Fix and it really helped me.
  18. I love playing Nike Power Distance Soft or High. They are normally $28.99 but I just bought them at the PGA Tour Superstore for 8.88 for dozen. Loaded up with them :). Any of the Power Distance balls are good, but you need to choose the one that fits you.
  19. I think you get the point. Almost everyone is of the same opinion. Play with the clubs you have and when you are more consistent, then invest in some good clubs. Fitting must be your priority though. And if you do decide to buy some clubs, I found this site where you can go new or used and the prices are REALLY good. http://www.globalgolf.com One thing I found out by buying from them is, go to the used section and then look for clubs that have "MINT" condition. These are actually brand new clubs for the price of used. I bought my driver, 3wood, and 5 wood like that and they came still with sicker on the head and the head was still in plastic. Here is an example. Go to this link and then choose 8.5 degree loft. http://www.globalgolf.com/product/go...d=1015619&gd;=3 Good luck.
  20. You might be talking about this mat Bimmer Apparently it has a a real feel with divots and real tees. Here is what they say: "A Golf Mat that Lets You Swing ‘Down-and-Through’ with True Divot Action For Realistic Practice – And It Even Takes A Real Tee!" Looks pretty interesting. And you don't have to use those rubber tie things that I totally hate. Here is their site if anyone is interested. http://www.realfeelgolfmats.com/
  21. Thanks all. I really just wanted to see what people thought about Graphic Design was a good shaft and also how people more experienced then me on this board went about choosing the right shaft. Sounds like I'm going the right way about it. I have always played with the stock shafts on my drivers but now that I am a little more knowledgeable on the game, time to get all corrected . Also, does the Mid kick point vs. Mid-High kick point has a big difference? I have no problem getting the ball in the air so which one would I go with?
  22. I actually tried about 7 different shafts with different frequency, weight, and length and what she recommended was the best fit for my swing. Apparently with the shaft I had which was a stiff but specd out to be a x-stiff, my club head speed was low. I did get that little extra head snap at the impact.
  23. Hi all, I am looking for a new shaft to get that little more distance and just had an analysis done on my swing. The pro at the store suggested I need a shaft 45 3/4" with frequency of around 248 and 55-60 gram. She suggested I go with Graph Design since it seems to fit me the best by specs. So I just wanted to get some feedback on what shaft did you choose for your driver? Please let me know what your club head speed was and the frequency of the shaft if you know it. Just wanted to make sure I choose the right shaft.
  24. I had such a funny experience just a couple hours ago. I went into PGA superstore earlier to get my driver reshafted (need a little more distance) and I was worming up using S&T; with my 7 iron. I only been practicing S&T; for about 2 week. So the Pro comes over to do the driver and looks at my swing and says "How in the world are you hitting the ball that way. Why are most of your weight on the left foot?". Then she says, " You should be able to lift off the left foot off the ground on the back swing so you need to transfer your weight to right foot and then left." So she took my 7 iron and tried to show me the right swing. All her shots were nice and straight at about 155 yards average. So then I took my club back and said, "Watch". I took about 5 shots with her swing and then took about 5 shots using S&T.; All 5 shots using S&T; were right at target line and about 170-180 yards vs. 155-160 with her swing. So, I told her about the S&T; and she was very surprised and said she will be switching over :). Funny that I can teach the Pro at the store how to swing to get better, crisper, and straighter shot :).
