Good points guys. I think I will just stick with the black and blue ones then. I also thought the grips might show scuff marks from putting my clubs in and out of the bag.

Does anyone use white colored grips. I am thinking about getting new ones and was wondering if the white got really dirty. I do not mind washing or taking care of the grips, as I always keep my clubs clean. I am thinking about getting the new decade multicompound grips from golf pride since they come in the midsize and I really like the white color. Thanks! Zack

All my iron shots pretty much go straight if I make good contact. I need work on my ball striking. I still top my shots a fair amount with the irons.

At your age, I never really had money so I could not play golf. My parents never gave me money for golf either. Now that I am in my mid twenties, obviously I pay for all my golf stuff. I hope one day when I have kids, they will like the game, and I will pay for them to enjoy it. If you have the opportunity to play and have your parents pay for you, then go out and enjoy it. Always thank them too!

Thanks for the tips about the take away. I will try to implement that part into my swing. The golf swing seems like it keeps getting more complex, ha ha.

I only slice when I am using the driver off the tee, and that is a whole other problem I need to address, ha ha. I wish I had room to get a behind angle, maybe I can jerry rig something up here soon.

Ok, I will keep your suggestions in mind! I really want to get a decent swing down and then hopefully I can take some lessons in the spring time when it gets nice out. Right now I can just practice in my basement. Thanks again for all the replies, I really appreciate it!!

Thanks for the tips guys. I have started trying to use the correct grip and my left arm feels alot better. It always felt so far forward in my stance. I noticed as well that my head moves, gotta try and work on that as well. I am also trying to cock my wrists. I used to be able to just start my swing and not have to move my wrists at all.
-
I am using the interlock. I just tried the "correct" grip with my glove on, and it feels more sturdy. I think I was not keeping enough pressure on my right hand throughout the back swing. The "correct" grip also feels like I do not have to angle my club so far to the left in my stance to square it up.

This is exactly what I was hoping I would hear. When I try to cover my left thumb, I feel like I have absolutely no grip on the club. It feels like someone could come and just pull the club right out of my hand. At the top of my swing it feels like my right hand does not even support the club at all. Is this how it is supposed to be when the right hand covers the left thumb?

I shot a video a couple days ago of me taking a few swings with my 8 iron in my basement. My swing is a little slow due to the fact I am on a couple rugs and don't want to ruin my clubs. I am more curious about my back swing and possible gripping of the club. Thanks!

If your short game is good, why not add a club that could possibly make it even better. I love my lob wedge.

I see what you did there... OP- wish I were able to endure the cold weather like you.

Here is what I have set up for the winter. I have a large rug and then a smaller rug on which I stand on and put the ball on. Am I going to ruin my clubs?? I have read some posts about people bending their clubs from hitting off the simulator turfs in their garage or basement. I never take much of a divot when playing and don't feel like I am digging into the rug when hitting in my basement. Just thought I would ask. Thanks.

Last season was my first season playing. I had a driver, 3 and 5 wood in the bag. Towards the end of the season I ditched the 3 and 5 wood and added a 3 and 4 hybrid. Obviously you lose the distance of a 3h compared to a 3 wood but the chance that I ever hit a decent shot with the 3 wood was slim. I am leaving my hybrids in there for the next season. I think once my ball striking become much more consistent, I might throw in a 5 wood and one day a 3 wood. Since I sucked pretty bad, I was always in the rough from long distances. I found the hybrids easier to hit out of the rough. I think its important to use the clubs you feel most confidence with even if you have to give up some yardage.

Like the others have mentioned. In hitting a normal shot, I would approach it the same way that you would hit your SW or PW. That's how I approach the shot and seem to do find with it. Like James said, chipping with it around the green is a little different than a SW. Take some time to practice with it. I usually chip back and forth in my bedroom to keep the feel of chipping with it.

I just started playing golf last year and got a 60* wedge. I love that thing. It gives me confidence around the green. I pretty much use my sand wedge or pitching wedge for everything else. I just feel like I can get out of the worst lie with the 60* when close around the green.

Glad someone was able to take advantages of the sale... I wish I had time to make it out there and browse around :(

Glad to hear that he seems ok. His house in Orlando looks real nice. I was just in the Bahamas and saw his mansion on Paradise Island when boating to a snorkeling spot. The man is definitely doing well for himself, ha ha

If I remember correctly, at the recent President's cup, Mickelson used the ball that O'hare used in their round. Pretty sure A Kim used Mickelson's ball for the first round of the President's cup. So yes, players do have to come to an agreement before the round starts on which ball to use.

^ Listen to this guy, he is Butch Harmon.

Like some others have mentions, try that Top Flite D2 Feel or the Gamer. Both are good golf balls for under $20.
