  1. The best drivers for high handicappers are: Ping G10 or G15 Ping Rapture V2 TaylorMade Burner or R9 Nike Dymo STR8-Fit (Regular and Square) The Callaway FT-iQ I would recommend at least 10.5* - although a more lofted club will impart more backspin, thus reducing the effects of a fade/draw. I used to have a chronic fade...and struggled with the driver... I went for the Dymo2 in 11.5* loft...and I'm loving every minute of it!
  2. Really disliked the Burner irons....LOVED the G10s!!!! (try the Nike Sumos!)
  3. Add the Nike Sumo irons to that list - you definitely won't be disappointed!! I demo'd the Callaway Big Berthas, Ping G10s, TM Burners, Cobra S7s and Nike Slingshots...Sumo's came out trumps IMO!
  4. yeeaaaah Nike Dymo2!!
  5. Yep R9 is a top driver! I've tried out the both drivers - I chose accuracy over distance - went for the Dymo2! Best thing to do is try them both out.
  6. Let me start off by saying both are excellent choices! I recently went to a fitting/demo day, and out of all the drivers, those two stood out the most! (I also tried the Callaway FT-9, FT-iQ & Big Bertha Diablo, TaylorMade Burner and one other which I can't remember at the moment) I decided on the Nike Dymo2 11.5* Driver, the widebody version, not the srt8 fit. My advice would be to try both and see which you prefer. I went with the Nike as I felt it was the most forgiving - and the srt8 fit is also a good idea if you don't mind spending the little extra for the adjustability.
  7. See my signature. Have 13 clubs - got space for one more. I think I might add another wedge or a 5-wood? Not in any rush to fill the space though.
  8. I would sell it, especially because it's a draw driver. I'm more into learning how to use the driver properly or using a 3-wood to build technique. Also check out the new Dymo2. I love the new nike golf range! p.s. the FT-5 driver is an excellent square head driver!!
  9. Just wanted to add some reviews of the Nike Sumo irons - hope this helps: http://www.deeprough.com/index.php/2...ke-sumo-irons/ http://thesandtrap.com/bag_drop/nike...ns_and_hybrids http://www.worldgolf.com/golf-equipm...irons-6304.htm Dymo and Dymo2 review: http://thesandtrap.com/clubs/nike_dy..._driver_review
  10. Played the Burners and Sumos Went with the Sumos - super game improvement - great for beginners/high handicappers/mid handicappers...
  11. Odyssey Sabretooth. But it's all personal opinion when it comes to golf clubs - try them all out, pick what you prefer the feel of.
  12. I tried out both...I preferred the sabretooth. But as with everything golf club orientated - it's about personal opinion and what feels best for you. Try them both out...see what you like!
  13. Love the 60* wedge...it always has a place in my bag. After all...it's all about the "scoring clubs".
  14. +1 to all of those...just look at my bag! To be completely honest, nike clubs didn't initially really appeal to me...then I tried them out! The entire range really suited me...shockingly enough, more so than the Callaway Big Berthas and TaylorMade Burners. So I bought the entire set! ...let's not forget the OCD
  15. LOL, genius!
  16. +1 Nike Extreme Sport II bag is brilliant, I have one in yellow/black. Also Ogio Ozone is a great bag for storage. Both are stand bags (my preference for bags).
  17. Haha!! That's mental! ...wait, I'm gonna set mine up too...
  18. I was thinking of getting the 3-Hybrid, it would certainly have filled in the gap better between the 3-Wood. But I prefer the loft and ease of use of the 4-Hybrid. I can't hit the 4-iron anywhere near as well as I can hit the 4-Hybrid. Think I'm going to just toss the 4-iron.
  19. Yep, handicap is really 30. Suppose I've made a pretty big investment considering my relatively poor handicap - although combined will all the time I've been putting in at the range and professional instruction these will surely see my handicap reduce. I bought these clubs after having a demo day and fitting session: tried out various brands inc. Callway, TaylorMade, Cobra, Ping etc...and really enjoyed the Sumo irons and Dymo2 woods. So I wouldn't say I've been "branded". To be honest I was initially quite reluctant to even try out Nike, I never saw them in the same regard as companies such as Callaway, TaylorMade and Ping etc...what can I say, I just hit straighter and longer with these clubs! Just wanted to know when a 5-wood is better to use than a 4-hybrid. I left it out because I felt that in that range, the accuracy of the hybrid is better than the additional yards I may get out of a 5-wood. Also I've heard that sometimes a 4-iron is better than a 4-hybrid. Is this true, and if so in what situations?
  20. In my Xtreme Sport II bag: Driver: Dymo2 11.5* 3-Wood: Dymo2 15* Hybrid: (4) 23* Irons: Sumo 4-SW Wedges: CG14 60* LW Putter: 34" White Hot XG Sabretooth Am I missing any clubs from my bag? More specifically do I need to add a 5-Wood? Or is it OK, to have the 3-Wood and 4-Hybrid arrangement? Thanks in advance for the feedback!
  21. No offset...I recommend using a regular club and focusing on improving your swing. I slice into the next golf course...but I bought a regular driver to force improvement...and no regrets...it's certainly paying off!
  22. +1 to zero friction tees. They last forever.
  23. I just bought a 15* 3-Wood and a 23* 4H...left out the 5-wood and a 2H/3H. If I need the distance, it's the 3-wood; if I need the accuracy I go for the 4H. For the SW/LW, I recommend the CG14 Wedges!! Hope that helps!
