  1. When I first started playing I would take mulligans all the time, it wasn't about keeping score but trying to string a couple good shots together. Mostly played by myself in the late afternoons so it didn't affect pace of play and the times when i was paired up i would hit my tee shot, if it was crap just pick it up and play best ball. Still take mulligans, but now just call them 3.
  2. well stated...i wonder if Fowler is going to jump to Cobra later down the road.
  3. Basically what you did was tip the v2 1.25" therefore increased the stiffness significantly, try it out and see how it goes worse case if indeed it is too stiff you pull it and install something else, worth giving it a shot. As for the Pershing shaft see if you can get a shim for it, reason being that epoxy is meant to hold it in place not act as a filler, the stress caused by being lose will cause the epoxy to fail.
  4. Did you mean if I will need someone to complete the foursome? If so you are more than welcome to join, grandparents are members and they are gone to Scottsdale by that date already so it is just going to be me out there playing (maybe a brother in law will join a couple of times out). I will for sure PM you to play when I'm in town.
  5. Not sure what they charge but it goes towards your club purchase. If you are going to get work done to the clubs afterwards, re grip, loft/lie, swap shafts etc just tip him and he will take care of you real well and if you ever need anything else.
  6. Loft on the driver has nothing to do with how good you are. It is all based on launch conditions, spin rate, angle of attack, etc. Go get fitted.
  7. A. Yup, only got through 9 holes though it was way to hot without any wind, felt like I was getting grilled. Simply unbearable. Q. Are you constantly tinkering with equipment?
  8. Murderous week for us down here also, felt like July all over again. Wish it was in the 40s-60s for at least a month or 2.
  9. Absolutely love it, maybe cause it is a change from the hot as balls weather down here. Going to visit family in Wayzata at the end of October excited to play Interlachen and Bearpath for the 2 weeks I am there, hopefully it stays nice a cool.
  10. That is sweet! Clearly a major reason for that + handi.
  11. depends on the shot shape, but anywhere around 195-205 accurately. Project X Flighted 6.5
  12. Can't really tell you much about the S300 as I don't have much experience with them. Can tell you that for my game the PX has done wonders, love everything about the shaft, silky smooth in every way, which in turn has forced me to swing smooth and let the club do the work. Go ahead and hit them at the range and then go on a launch monitor to compare data. It is good to be reassured by data that what you felt and saw was correct. Remember that irons are your scoring tools, accuracy is essential so be very conscious of shot dispersion.
  13. Go see Bob at Golfsmith (stirling and i95) he's not there on Tuesday and Sunday. Works on all my clubs and knows his stuff.
  14. I am actually quite familiar with it, have quite a few friends who play in it and probably going to join next season myself. The level of play is pretty good but the fields are not big at all, played at most of the better tracks down here and none play overly long . The prize pool is decent, they also play a skins game during the tourneys so birdies/eagles/etc pay handsomely. The cool part is the chance to get your entrance to Q School paid for if you play well throughout the season (not sure if it is exclusively for winning certain tourneys or kind of like a "fed ex cup" points system). Not sure if that is what you wanted to know or not, regardless feel free to get at me if you have specific questions. When you do come down here let me know and I'll put you in touch with my buddies on it.
