  1. wow. to each his own i guess. most of the people who have hit mizunos here would argue they have the most feel .
  2. ive got the same issue. hit 7/9 girs and had 20 putts. *sheesh*
  3. well, i guess if i cant convince ya, then u'll just have to come down here and i'll have to show u.
  4. ping raptures, if u can get used to the offset. ball goes high and long. easy clubs to hit. difficult to hit ow shots. but u'll mangae.
  5. turns out u were right about the second part. went to different golf club yesterday. had my swing checked out by a pro. now these guys had genuine distance markers on the range, and i was hitting it average at 280. but when i realy nailed one(off the center) it went flying over 280 and landed at 300. that means i need to get lessons cuz im not letting the burner go anytime soon.
  6. =( they dont have high school golf in pakistan. =(
  7. but then doesnt that make it forgiving...cuz i hit 10 ot of 14 fairways easily every time. difficult to digest it may be for u but thats how it is. im rarely into the woods. as far as the center of the clubface is concerned, i dont hit it all the time, but im pretty close to it. 1" aint causing mee a lot of distance mate. on mishits that i can tell , the ball ends p at the 270 280 yard mark.
  8. cg 15. wold have got it my self if i didnt have my current sand wedge. and the vokeys. all have reat spin, but how much u spin the ball, depends on the ball u play and how u hit ure wedge shots.
  9. the raptures were cheap, availaible and easy to hit. =D before them i was playing traduitonal forged lynx master model blades. and i could hit them. but required sme real consistency. however, if i could put better and improve my sand saves , i would be a single digit capper. the only thing i cant seem to do is hit low shots with my short irons. Burners are forgiving and workable. =D
  10. burner has a sweet sound. man , i cant praise it enough. =P the clunk rules out the nikes then.
  11. that is what i was looking for. hes gonna get dq'ed now for sure. a friend of mine is one of the junior members on the comittee and he actually asked me, and i decided to ask uoy guys. Thanks mate. uve been a great help. Cheers=D
  12. to each his own i guess. i do hit the center area mostly. i can tell by the soft impression of the ball. more like a smudge. the central area with no grooves. thats where i hit the ball. with the driver at least.
  13. agreed. but the player can argue can he not that since the club allotted him the handicap? it would sound like the comittee wass covering up their mistake , by DQing him and saying that you did nto ensure the handicap we gave u was correct.
  14. james, thats what i thought. pls ivve played with the boy once from the back tees, im 17 and a 12 handicap, and he beat me by 3 strokes. 9 hole match. he played par and i played 3 over. so he is a 7 from the back tees according to me, but u know people . dont wanna lower their handicap so they can win matches on net. im sick and tired of the politics here. =S
  15. swing path? out to in and hitting a tad down on the ball?
  16. the Pro-V1 X is a lower spinning ball as compared to the ones uve mentioned. so it shouldnt ballon as much and give a nice ball flight that doesnt drop like a bomb. as the fellow with the green avatar said(sorry i couldnt figure out ure name=P) i agree. a shallower swing plane or swing path will give u better chance of not balloning the ball. i had the same issue had too much of a downward strike on the ball. its fine with the irons now but with the driver i had to get used to the idea of hitting p on the ball. i still make the mistake fro time to time, but my drives have gotten much better. went from push fades to slight draws and straight drives.
  17. burner 07? pretty lightweight and freaky long and good.
  18. but morally, shouldnt he be telling th comittee, that theyve given him the wrong handicap on the card?
  19. thanks, but the committee counted his score with a 10 handicap. however if he knew his handicap was a 7 from the red tees and the club also knew but did not notify or it slipped . plus he did not inform, knowing his handicap was 7 from the red tees. Should he be DQ?
  20. from what ive heard the ping g10 is more the mid handicap range.
  21. Hi all! well a tornament is underway here at the local golf club and today an interesting but troubling issue came up. heres the summation. a boy playing to a 7 handicap from the junior tees. his handicap was readjusted by his clubs handicap committee to a 10, but from the mid tees. (theres a difference of about 20 yards between the two tees, the junior tees are primarily for kids 14 and under. this boy is 14.) what happenned is that he played the tournament today(one day event for the juniors) from the red tees, but with a 10 handicap. A complaint was lodged by one of the players in the field as to his handicap. what i want to know is i) which handicap is applicable? ii) does he stand DQ if he did not have his handicap informed to the tournament committee following inclination he was to play from the red tees? iii) can a player have a dual status as such ascertaining to handicaps, with reference to the tees u play? iv) also what is SSS?
  22. y not? the shape put u off? and the sound is brilliant. =D
  23. burner burner burner. especially the 07 model. people get turned off by the lightweight shaft, but i feel really comfortable with it. feelsvery relaxed andthe ball goes miles. also theping g10 and cleveland launcher. pretty good drivers.
  24. so what re saying is that my lower body is okay bt my upper body is going in front, before the arms.? need to work on that sync then.
