  1. I have a ruling question. I was in a round and my ball was in somewhat thick grass. I addressed the ball but wasn't looking the whole time. When I looked, I think I saw the ball just barely move. I'm not sure if I caused the ball to move or if it just oscillated. What do you do in this situation.
  2. I'm almost a 70s golfer and I've been playing for just over two years. My best round is even on a par 72 course. My only two eagles were within four holes of each other in the same round. And I'm within the top five members at my course. I have high school state in two days at a pretty easy course. I'd like to play well there, but what I really want is to just relax and be able to be happy with anything. I probably play 95% of my rounds at my home course but I play almost every day. I wish I had the funds to play more new courses. Hopefully that gets better next summer. I think it would really help my game. I'm just playing for the eternal hope of playing shots just how I want and stringing some good holes together and stringing good rounds together.
  3. I had my only two eagles in the same round during a tournament at a course that was very short. It was nine holes and it would be 5900 yards from the back both nines. I played the tips and second farthest tees. The first hole was a par four about 250-270 yards. I drove to the right side of the green and chipped in. Three holes later I had a par 5 of about 530 yards. I put my ball short left of the green in two and luckily chipped in again. If you want an eagle, I recommend playing a short course, get good at long shots and get good at longer putts and chips. Play a lot of golf and let good old Lady Luck do the rest.
  4. I’m thinking about 2 million? Give or take about half an order of magnitude?

  6. I just conquered this challenge today with a 77. I was 2 under on the par fives, 3 over on the par threes, and 4 over on the par fours. 34 putts (could be a lot better :P ). Eleven GIRs, six GIR+1s, and one GIR+2 (water ball on a par 3). This round could have definitely been under 75. I had two three-putts both from inside 30 feet, and two or three bogeys from good drives.
  7. Update: I shot my first 72 yesterday! I had a 76 mid-June and this is my first time beating that! The day before this score I hit driver really good with 12 fairways and for the 72 I hit 10. I still wish I could my super comfy big draw back with driver soon though. My wedges inside 110-120 yards were superb. All of my first five holes I had birdie putts inside 20 feet. I had 30 putts which I’m pretty happy with. If that was under 30 all the time soon, that would be cool. I think my biggest issue is still trust issues with longer clubs. I can’t FEEL a draw before my shots as vividly as I could at the beginning of the year and later last year.
  8. I'd say I stay under 90 95% of the time. according to GolfLogix, my handicap index is about 9 or 10. Currently my putting and driving are pretty iffy. Irons are ok. Could be a bit better. I think for putting I'm just having temporary yips. They should be better in a week or two. If I could keep driver in the fairway closer to 10 or 11 times, that would help a lot.
  9. Update: 78 today! Thank you guys for your tips. It definitely is a lot easier the second time. I was trying to focus on playing the least stressful shot every time, and it seemed to help! I was hitting everything really well except the putter (36 putts :P ). Will definitely keep grinding this summer and hopefully we can get there by August!
  10. 36/51 today. I played the back first and had triples on 10 and 11. I wanted to stay under 90 so I convinced myself I'd shoot 38 or better on the front. I got my first back-to-back birdies and a personal best of three birdies in the round. I guess it just goes to show that you should never give up on a round.
  11. Hey!! I just broke 80 yesterday!! I’d like to be consistently in the seventies by the end of the summer for my high school fall season. Any suggestions and practice drills would be awesome!
