  1. Eliminates All traffic concerns
  2. that thing is huge...but i wish more people had something like that...nothing makes me more mad than playing a course and the greens look like mine fields...for some reason, people that play the local courses here either don't know how or don't care to repair their divots...
  3. Well for me hitting the 5 iron is a lot easier than hitting the 3 iron, and i would rather have to hit it hard than try to lay off it. The ball moves back and forth through your stance, depending on what club you are hitting anyway. The position of the ball in my stance depends on two things at my skill level, club and wind. Anything else is to much to focus on and quite frankly is not within my ability. I always try to stay within my ability...I think that is one of the most important keys to scoring well.
  4. I hate hitting off a mat because my wristes hurt really bad after. There is one range near me that has mats I will hit from, but they are really nice and new.
  5. Its not really a baseball grip. A baseball bat is held in the palm of the hand, where as, the 10 fingered grip still holds the club in the fingers. Do to intense pain I had in the pinky of my right hand (my over lapping hand), I have switch to the 10 fingered grip with no real effect to my game.
  6. Yeah...should have been Maybe...MAYBE, i should have not skip school on spelling day :)
  7. Made those that get mad or frustraded with there game still find playing a release. Made being upset at there game is better than thinking about the stress at work, the kids hassling for money, the wife nagging, or the millions of other things that can make life tough at times.
  8. As if there wasn't enough to distract me at work all ready. Now I can watch golf while I work...What a life!
  9. I have the 460cc driver and can hit without it breaking down on me. Just because it doesn't breakdown doesn't mean you will not slice or hook the ball. I attribute my problem with not closing the face at impact and this club does not help with that. It is great to for making sure that you stay on plain, so when I get quick in the back it is a great help. In other words...Mixed review...
  10. I think ProV1's are worth the money. They are so much more durable than any other golf ball I will use. I will use Nike Power-Soft or SFT Balls, but I tear them up after just a few holes. I purchased 3 dozen ProV1s a few months ago and still have over 20 of them. (The others decided to go swimming or on Safari. )
  11. Gloucester Country Club - this place doesn't even have a website and it's not really listed on any course guides. There is this http://www.pasturegolf.com/courses/gloucester.htm The greens are so bad that a few of them just had target circles drawn on them and they gave strokes based on how close you get it to the pin.
  12. Never really thought about it, but now that I do I always tell the guy I play with..."Nice up"...after his approach shot...That seems a little annoying!!! Maybe I could start screaming "Boo-Yah!!!!" That wouldn't be the least bit annoying....
  13. I normally practice three days a week and play 1 to 2 rounds. Well, this week it seems to only be raining when I have free time and would normally be at the range or course. Maybe my wife bribed Mother Nature, so I would have to stay home and do chores.
  14. Lucky that the golf course don't close during the winter here. It gets cold but still playable weather. I want to bring my handicap down below 20. Then take the next step in 2010.
  15. I have a bad habbit of pulling out of the swing, which leads to fat shots or worse full chunks. If I can consistantly keep my head down thru my swing, I could save several strokes a round. I am pretty consistant of the tee and usually find the fairway at a reliable distance. My putting has been getting better as of late too. My biggest problem is not chunking my approach shot.
  16. Read this book for the first time when i was a child with my grandfather. I would spend Friday Nights with my grandfather, and early Saturday morning we would play golf. For me, this book still gives great advice that brings me back to basics when I need it, and provides me with great memories of my childhood.
  17. Tiger Woods will most likely go down as the most proliphic professional golfer of all time, but I think that this poll may be a little bias. I say this because most that use this web forum will either not be old enough to have seen Jack or like myself only saw him in his later years. Just my opinion...
  18. http://www.hampton.va.us/thewoodlands/ Its a municipal course, but its fun to play a round.
  19. I am a Program Analyst for the National Institute of Aerospace. Mostly just work in spreadsheets all day. Interesting to me and Kind-a boring to most people, but great flex-time program for that weekday round of golf .
