  1. Welcome to TST! I wish I could join you, but I'm in IL. I've found this site to be an enormous help since I began golfing again after 10 years away from the game.
  2. @iacas I'm happy to say that I broke 100 as I previously posted in the goals thread.
  3. ChetlovesMer summed up this thread very nicely. I can recall one flush approach shot from my last round that was right on target. I'm really fortunate if I hit 1-2 flush shots per round.
  4. Day 20 9/3/19 More putting indoors tonight since it's wet outside. I worked on sinking 3' putts.
  5. Day 18 9/1/19 Pitched with my SW to a target 30 yards away. The club face is square at impact, but I'm still very inconsistent with ball contact. I'm digging the club in the ground and hitting line drives sometimes.
  6. Day 17 8/31/19 Mirror work on the backswing with emphasis on the turn and trying to stay away from swaying.
  7. Day 15 8/29/19 Pitched balls with my SW to a bucket 10 yards away. I had some problems with distance control and making good contact at first. I'm going to warm up more for practices when I have time.
  8. Day 14 8/28/19 Putting practice indoors on the carpet. Putted up to the edge of a rug 3-4 feet in distance. I focused on alignment and nailing the 3' putts that save strokes.
  9. Day 13 8/26/19 Mirror work looking at my full swing from the front and side. Focused on my head position and following all the way through the weight shift.
  10. Day 12 8/25/19 Pitched to a target at 50 yards with my SW and tried to get within 5 club lengths of it. 8/25 landed within 5 club lengths
  11. Day 11 8/24/19 Chipping with my SW, PW and 9i. On the Hole19 app I found a beta feature that lists practice exercises. I normally use Golf Pad to record my scores and had Hole19 installed previously just to check it out. It seems worth it to leave it installed just for the driving range exercises. Chipping: Hit the square Created a square with 4 clubs 5 yards away. Chipped 12 balls and counted those that landed inside the square. 3/12 landed
  12. Day 10 8/23/19 Played the back 9 at my local course. My play has improved considerably after taking 3 lessons and logging my practice on here. I had 3 pars and 3 bad holes including a double, triple and quadruple bogey. My score was a 50 with 2 fairways hit and 2 GIR.
  13. Day 9 8/22/19 Pitched with my SW again. The 1st few shots were a mixed bag of bad and good shots. After around the 5th shot I started to find a groove and make some consistent contact.
  14. Welcome to TST!
  15. Day 8 8/21/19 Full dry swings with my 3w. I didn't seem very comfortable with my swing tonight and know some of the shots would have been bad. Getting in better shape would really help my swing. I need to lose 20 lbs.
  16. I would recommend creating a video of your lag putts. Then you can post it here or have a good instructor take a look. You might be ahead/behind with your hands or your alignment might be off. It's hard to notice these details on your own.
  17. Day 7 8/20/19 Pitched balls with my SW to a bucket 30 yards away. My consistency was not there and only around half of the shots were good. I'm scheduling time tomorrow to work on the same practice routine.
  18. Day 6 8/19/19 Putted from various distances to the fringe of the green as a distance control exercise. My control improved over time. Bump and run chips from 3' off the green with my SW and 7i.
  19. Day 4 8/17/19 Putted to a target 4-6 feet away at home. Day 5 8/18/19 Pitched with SW to around 10-15 yards out. Used a small 10" diameter bucket as a target at different locations. My distance control was poor at first, but I eventually eased into better control.
  20. Day 3 8/16/19 Mirror work with full swings Upper body turn Worked on where the arms and hands are at the top of the backswing
  21. Welcome!
  22. Day 2 8/14/19 Dry swings with my 4 iron Focused on tempo from the top of the backswing to the downswing.
